Chapter 10

I finally went home from the hospital today after a week. I don't want to see Ashton for the rest of my life. I'm embarrassed, but I had to find the real story, I was determined.

I walked into school the next Monday..on crutches of course so I had a lot of attention. I don't know why I was on crutches..my mom said I also pulled a muscle that would take a while to heal.

"Grace..please just listen to me." I heard a familiar voice.

Knowing me I couldn't run so I had no excuse.

"Ashton, I liked you! I was in love with you, but you didn't see it did you?"

He gave me a really upset look as if he was about to cry.

"Grace, I..I..I", he stuttered. "She forced me to. She threatened me."

I didn't know what to say or do..

"Ashton..why didn't you just ignore her?"

The bell rang.

I couldn't talk to him the rest of the day, because my mom checked me out right before lunch for a doctors appointment.

Before I knew it, it was Friday and I still didn't have the true story.

What was I going to do?
