Broken Walls

10 years ago...............
24th march, 2000.
" Uhh...she looks like you. Look at my baby girl."  James cooes at little diana at the hospital.

"No she looks like you." Adriana protests against james as she looks at her baby in her arms looking as beautiful as the morning star. Finally knowing the feeling of a mother with her child in her arms.

"Okay. Lets just say she looks like both of us . Satisfied?"

"Hmmm.. I can work with that." Adriana replies holding diana," you know .... looking at her right now I know that all the pains I went through during labour was worth the effort." She says looking at diana.

"Yeah.....she looks so beautiful. The doctor said you will be discharged in the next 5 minutes. Should start getting ready to leave."

"Okay then. Lets go. Diana my child is time to show you to world."

5 months later......

" Okay, diana. Lets try again. Say daddy."

"Daaaapiii" diana says smiling.

"I could watch this all day." Adriana says laughing.

" Diana ,please  just say daddy or I will just be a laughind stock in front of your mum."

"Hey..don't worry . She is gonna say it one day."

" I know. But still ... let me try. Now diana , I know you can't say daddy so lets go for a more simpler one. Like....papa . Yes papa. Now say papa. Pa........pa."

"Pa............"

"Yes diana. You are almost there."

"........pi. Papi."

"Finally she has gotten it."

"Papi, I like the sound of that its unique."

James smirks,"Thats why I get it."

"Papi, Papi, Papi."

"Yes diana. Papi."

10 years later....
24th march, 2010.
"I can't believe we are finally going on a road trip and on my birthday." Diana says happily.

" Yes diana. It would have been better if your mum came along." James says looking at adriana at the door step.

" No...this day is meant for diana and diana alone."

"But mum, who am I without you. There is no diana without momma, remember? "

Adriana looks at her daughter already feeling emotional, "Diana...of course I remember. But I am still with you here in your heart,"she says pointing at her heart,"and your dad is with you. Do you dont have to worry about me . I will be fine."

Adriana looks into her mother's eyes trying to read her mind. Her parents discover she has the ability to read people's mind after immediately after meeting them. So basically, if she knows you, you can't mess with her. After searching her mother's eyes for any lies she finally backs down.

"Are you sure momma?"

"Yes. I am sure."

"Okay. Goodbye momma. I will see you tomorrow. "

"Goodbye, my child. "

"Goodbye, my love." Says james giving adriana a kiss on the lips.

"Goodbye to you too, my knight in shinning armour. "

Diana smiles seeing the love her parents shared. She always wished for their kind of love or at least something near it.

"Okay, buttercup. Lets hit the road."

"Okay, papi."

James starts the car as they zoom off at the same time waving at adriana.

" Commander diana. Are you ready for this mind blowing road trip?" James says using a very funny thick voice.

" Yes, Colonel papi. Just remaining the bomb blast ice cream to make this mission successful."
Diana says trying to mimick her father but fails miserably which causes both to laugh endlessly.

"Do you want to see your present now? "

"Huh..there is , more?!" She asked shocked, "Yes please. Yes please.  Yes please."

"Okay, okay. Close your eyes".

Immediately she  shots her eyes.

"Now open them."

She opens her eyes to see a black box on her lap.

"Can I open it?"

"Yes, of course. "

She opens the box to see a a silver locket. She opens the locket to see a picture of her , her mum and dad on the day they went to the park.

"Papi, this is  so ........beautiful. Thanks papi. You are the best." She says emotionally giving him a side hug since he was driving and pecking him on the cheeks.

"You are welcome, buttercup. Now how about that bomb blast ice cream from The Winnie's
With extra vanilla?"

" I support you one hundred percent." They both laughed.

"Hey, buttercup. I got your ice cream .Let me just quickly....."

He says trying to hold the nylon properly when all of a sudden a yellow car comes out of no where and hits her dad then zomes off.

"PAPI!"

Diana screams as she gets out of the car and rushes to her father's aid.

"Papi, please don't leave me alone."

"Di.......a......na" james tried to speak.

"Papi, just stay there. SOMEONE PLEASE CALL 911. "

"Diana listen to me, this  something I should have told long time ago but I thought I still had time. I have enemies, lots of them, trying  to make me work for evil but I refused. Look after your  self. Make you follow the right path and may the lord be with you. Amen. Good...bye , my buttercup , diana." And with that he gave up the ghost.

"Papi, papi. Noooooo...........".

And then I heard the ambulance from behind and the last thing I saw was my father been put on a strecher.
