Chapter 6: Which Way?

To catch you up on this week:

It has been a breezy couple of days. After explaining the whole bumping into the new town bad boy to DJ, he finally chilled down. The only problem was he refuses to tell me why Nash was sent to his office. Some deal about human security rights. How does one remember every single law the US has ever made. He's only 23 years old, It's been only two and a half years since he could legally drink. Mostly because DJ is a super genius, he can make Stephen Hawking look like a moron. By the time he was 17, he already had joined the police force because he was done with school. (including college.) To be honest I could never be more proud of my little Einstein of a brother.

I tried to avoid Nash as long as possible. He just makes me tingly and nervous inside. (sad to admit) Unfortunately he still attempts to flirt with me. Which is working, but not enough to fall head over heels for him. Everyday he tries to get closer and closer to me. Nash's behavior has been making Jimmy's anger increase. No doubt in my mind Jimmy is going to beat the crap out of Nash one day. When that day comes I'm gonna be in the front seat.

Jimmy has a serious anger problem. Faith and I have been suggesting him to anger management. It makes me stressed that he bundles up his feelings. Soon there is too much anger and he blows up.

My softball skills aren't exactly decent so I've been working on it. Lately I've been practicing on my "hit" after school. With Jimmy's help and a little bit of luck I might be able to make the team.

~

"Are you sure you can't make it?"

"Sorry Sam, It's family night. Monday I promise to help you practice."

Sympathetic Jimmy, always making excuses on friday nights. Our plan was to stay after school and help with me with softball practice. Which we've been doing all week.

"Fine, I'll improve by myself." I pout.

"Come on, don't act this way. You know I can't get out of family night. My mom will freaking kill me if I ditch."

"Okay, sorry."

"Thank you!" Jim grins.

"Mama's boy" I mumble under my breath.Faith gives a soft chuckle.

"Pht! I am not a mama's boy!"

"Dude, you are a parent's perfect vision of a son." Faith sneers.

So true, Jimmy has never attempted one mortal sin in his young life. He is an extreme 'Good Boy'. Might as well be Jesus. Of course, DJ would definitely approve of him.

Faith's remark reminded me of a 1980's Movie, The Breakfast Club. When Bender tells Brian he's a parent's wet dream.

Still to this day I remember the very first time he introduce me to the movie. Gives me chills just thinking about him. Let alone talking about him. I haven't thought about the situation in a very, very long time. If I think about it to much I usually go though a depression stage. I don't look or talk to people for days. He has been gone for a year and it still affects me. But that's a story for another day.

Jim pushes Faith away from him. "Whatever... I'm feeling a little snackish you?" he points.

"Nah, not really hungry but thanks." I replied.

Jimmy pushes off his seat and heads to the snack bar. Faith turns toward me "Did you do your homework for Ms. Xavier's class?"

"Yes lazybutt, it's in the red binder." I point
