"What am I wrong on, Mrs. Hudson?"

"Sherlock would be able to access the main floor. And... I just got a call from a very important person who'd like to give Sherlock a great amount of money to ease his way. Money which I'm sure can be used to make 221B much more accessible to a handicap."

"Who?" He can't help but ask.

"The Queen."

"Why?!"

"Turns out after a quick investigation that bomber had a chain all the way down the street. By jumping in front of the blast with the cast iron, he kept the other bombs from going off. Including the one in the hotel next door, where the Queen just so happened to be. He just stopped an assassination." John gives a small nod and thinks for a moment, then asks Mrs. Hudson in a small voice,

"What are we going to do if he loses his will to live?" She comes and touches his face.

"I don't know, dear John. But I do know what Sherlock did save you too." She murmurs. Finally, Sherlock begins to stir.

"J-john.!.. !"

"I'm right here." He says reassuringly, touching Sherlock's shoulder so he can tell where he is.

"J-john. I c-can't fe-feel m--" He starts crying, the stuttering growing too severe to speak, he simply claws the blankets around his legs, and sobs. John shifts quickly, moving from the chair beside the bed into the bed, and he just pulls Sherlock close and hugs him tight, letting him get it all out. He throws his arms around John and clenches his coat, weeks pass, and Sherlock is very close to giving in several times, but keeps going just for John. On his way to the hospital, he walks past the clean up site of the explosion, it's covered in blue flowers and notes of thanks to "The Man in the Blue Scarf" John smiles at the gesture, and takes a picture of it for Sherlock, not sure if it will still be there by the time he's allowed to leave. They won't let him until they're sure he can cope mentally without the use of his legs. When John walks back after hours, even more gifts and such cover the site. He asks a construction man and the guy says,

"Oh no. Our boss said work around the stuff." John bites his lip, debating then asks,

"I happen to know the man extremely well, and I know where he's at now, is there any way I could convince you to send it to a place where he will later reside for him to see when he may return?"

"I can call the boss for you?"

"Please." He says with a nod.
