Chapter 13

I felt like I was back in a hospital. The same feeling bed, I think an IV in my arm. And tension in the room. I open my eyes to find my self in the school nurses office and Zach's voice sounded near but I had yet to see him. All the sudden the curtains opened I spotted Blake before he saw me and shut my eyes. I needed time to think about what to say to him and how to say it.

About 4 minutes later I heard a set of footsteps coming in. Probably Zach's. Blake had set my hand in his and his other hand on the top of mine. He cared about me enough to beat up his own cousin and best friend. I started opening my eyes and they quickly met Blake's, and then Zach's.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Luke beat you up and you passed out and Blake kicked his ass and saved you." Zach said. Blake's eyes fell from mine.

"Oh. Hey Zach can you give us a minute?" I asked.

"Sure" he stated a little unsure if e should or not.

He left and Blake's eyes were still looking at the floor. "You still don't trust me do you?" he asked shakily.

"Are you kidding me? you saved me from your cousin and kicked his butt! Oh and you did it all with a broken ankle!" I put my hands under his chin and lifted his head up to where he was looking at me. "I trust you now. I know that you have changed. But what do you want with me?"

"I messed up so bad years ago. And I know you probably won't forgive me but I never meant to hurt you. I liked you and Luke said the only way to get you to like me was to act like him. So I did and it was a mistake. Ellie I am so sorry." His eyes left me.

"You liked me?"

"Yes and I still do but this time I want to do it right."

He's eyes still looked at the floor. I put my hand on his cheek and whispered "Blake, look at me." and he did. His face so upset and innocent. I leaned over and kissed him. His lips so soft, they moved in a calming motion. I would have kissed him all day if it weren't for Zach saying "knock, knock".

"Come in" I said pulling my body away from Blake."

"Mom said for me to invite Blake over for dinner." Zach said.

"Oh. Well Blake you wanna come over for dinner tonight?"

He glanced at both of us and just said "sure."

About four hours later my phone vibrated indicating I had a text message.

What should I wear?

Idk, umm, wear light blue!

-Ell

Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't know, light blue it is baby:)

Baby? he called me baby? why? then my phone vibrated again.

Is it ok if I call you baby?

Yea. Just not in front of my family they don't know and I won't it to be like that till they see you've changed.
