Austin’s POV:
I heard screaming from outside and I had a painful feeling in my chest… It was Vicky, she was in danger. I dropped all my books and ran out of the classroom. I was raging, no one should or ever hurt my mate!
‘Austin how arewe going to fight them? We could be out numbered’ my wolf asked
‘I don’t care, I would die for my mate.’ I growl and shut the connection off between us. I got outside the school and ran into the forest and there in a clearing I saw Vicky in her white wolf form, she was beautiful. But there were 5 rogues give or take a few, clawing at her. I was raging now, I ran as fast as I could and one of the rogues knocked down Vicky. I was running as fast as I could and I pounced on top of the wolf and clawed at his throat and bit his neck. I growled at him and the other rogues came to his aid. I got in front of Vicky and growled protectively. One of the rogues got behind a tree and shifted and he came out with his clothes on and he said, “We will have your mate sooner or later. And you can’t stop what’s coming. We will give you 2 weeks to hand her over to us or we will kill everyone she loves.” And with that they left. Behind me I heard Vicky whimper. I turn around and she is badly hurt on her leg. I shift into my human form, ‘Shift Vicky” but she didn’t obey she must have been in really big pain. I mind link with Josh, ‘Josh I need you to come into the woods, Vicky is badly hurt and please bring clothes, I’ll explain everything later.’ I was so angry, I will never let them have her. But if I don’t them they’ll kill the people that matter to her.
‘Why would they want her?’ my wolf asks
‘Well does it look like I know?’ I yell to my wolf and cut the connection off. I walk up to a tree and punch it really hard that it leaves a dint.
“Austin?” a very weak voice calls behind me. I spin around and see Vicky laying on the floor. I run up to her and pull her into my arms.
“Shh baby, you’re going to be ok, I promise, I’m so sorry this happened to you.” I kissed her hair.
“AUSTIN!” Josh’s voice comes from behind me.
“We’re over here!” I yell.
Josh runs over to us and covers Vicky in a blanket and hands me clothes. I quickly change, “Austin what happened?” Josh asks very concerned.
“I heard Vicky screaming and there were some rogues and they said that we have at least 2 weeks to hand her over to them.” I explain
“WHAT!? They can’t have Vicky! She-”
“We have 2 weeks or they will kill everyone she loves” I cut him off. I walk over to Vicky and pick her up bridal style and walk back to the school.
“I need to get her to the pack doctor to look at her wounds. I’ll be back soon.” I say to josh and he just nods.
I place Vicky carefully in the car and drive off to the pack house. Vicky seems so peaceful in her sleep.
I storm into the pack house and run with Vicky in my arms and barge into the pack doctor’s office.
“Please help her she’s the Alpha’s daughter and she is badly injured” I yell. The doctor looks very concerned.
“Bring her to the table.” I rush her over to the table and doc looks at her injuries.
“She’ll be fine she just needs time to heal” he says.
“Thank you” she squeaks. He nods and walks out of the room.
“Vicky baby, are you ok?” I hold her check and trace my thumb across her cheek bone.
“I think so… Austin what do they want from us?” She cries
I hold her close to me, “I don’t know. But I’m not letting them take you away from me.” I growl protectively.
“But they’re going to kill people I love. And I don’t want you to get hurt.” She snuggles deeper into my chest.”
“Vicky look at me.” I lift her chin and stare into her eyes with her tear stained cheeks. “I love you, Vicky. And I’m not going to let anybody ever hurt you. Ok?”
She nods her head “I love you too”
I leaned down and kissed her. I’m not going to let anybody hurt her.
After a while of just holding Vicky in my arms she fell asleep and so was I, but I didn’t want to leave her she was my mate and I would do anything for her. I moved her over and laid next to her, I felt her snuggle closer to me so I pull her closer. And within a few minutes I fell asleep, I knew tonight I wouldn’t be able to sleep very well. Worrying about my mate’s protection.
Vicky's POV
I am woken up by the pain that is going through my leg. Ahhh. As I try to stand up I hear a small noise come from the sexy body next to me. "Babe don’t stand up you will hurt yourself' he mumbles in that deep voice of his.
"I’ll be fine don’t worry about me' as I go to stand up a hand grabs my wrist. “I’ll be fine don’t worry" his grip loosen and he drops his arm. I go to stand up again, I get to my feet but as I try to take my first step I fall, just before I hit the ground Austin catches me. 'I told you that you weren't ready to stand up' he says but I didn’t really pay attention I was too busy starring at my shirtless mate with his perfect 6 pack and swimmers V. He looked pretty tired, his hair was messy and he had very small visible bags under his eyes. 'Babe, are you even listening?... Wait are you checking me out? Oh my god yes you are' I couldn't help but blush.
'Ok yes I was, you were directly in my line of view I couldn’t help but look' I tried to cover up. 'Vicky, you know you don’t have to embarrassed about checking me out I am your mate remember. And I can take my shirt off more often if you want' he said with a smirk. I was left sitting on the bed with red cheeks from embarrassment.
‘Have you slept yet?’ I ask
‘Not that much, I have been here with you protecting you. Do you want breakfast?” he says
"Yeah sure I’m starving, help me up would you?' I ask whilst trying to stand up. ‘No missy you aren't walking anywhere' and with his last word he picked me up bridal style and walked into the kitchen.
After getting to the kitchen Austin put me down on top of the counter like a little kid who just got hurt and needs a band aid. He walks towards the fridge and get out a bottle of tropical juice my favourite. As he walks towards me with the bottle of juice I couldn’t help but stare at his perfect tanned muscles moving with every step. He steps between my legs, as I drop my head to my chest. I feel his warm strong hand lift my head up to stare into his golden eyes that were glowing at this point.
'Why do your eyes glow Austin?' I say with a slight shakiness.
'They only glow when I am with you' and he connected his lips with mine. I had missed them so much. The kiss was slow and lingering then turned into a very heated make out session. He arms went around my waist and my fingers tangled in his hair. He lifted me off the counter and I wrapped my legs around his torso and he walked out of the kitchen into the lounge room and rested my back on the couch. My legs were still wrapped around his waist. His tongue brushes past my bottom lip asking for entrance, but I declined. I heard a low growl and he pulled me up to sit on his lap. He put both his large hands on my ass and squeezed. He took the opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth and explored once again. His hands were moving up and down my waist and chest. I ran out of breath, but he wasn’t finished. His lips were brushing against my neck but wasn’t kissing it just to tease me. He sucked on my neck and kissed it and bit my neck at times. Then he lips were resting on the spot of my neck were the mark is meant to be and he waited for my permission. I put my finger on his chin so he could look up at me. His eyes were still glowing, they were beautiful.
“Are you sure?” he asks
“I love you Austin, and I want you to”
“I love you too” he kisses my lips and returns to my neck. Then I feel his canines sink into my neck. It started with a small pain but then turned into pleasure and I moaned and smiled at how good it felt.
Austin just marked me as his.
