Sounds of twigs snapping and leaves and branches being moved or broken could be heard throughout this dark forest. It was Mai. Running. Running fast. The murders of her village. She couldn't handle it anymore. It was too much for her to take. As the sharp branches scratched her smooth, porcelain skin, she kept running, no matter how much cuts and bruises she may get.
Not watching her footing properly, she tripped, landing face foreword into the dirty ground. She tried to get up, but it was no use. She looked up and saw the sudden appearance of a red-haired woman. She couldn't tell exactly what she looked like because she had a Kitsune mask over her face. "What are doing here?" She asked in a deep voice. Not a scary voice. But an appropriate deep voice for a woman to have. "I-I was running...a-and I guess I didn't focus on what I was doing...I'm sorry.." Mai said weakly, starting to wince in pain a bit.
Akari ((the Kitsune woman)) took a few minutes to look at her before reaching out her hand to Mai. "Come." Mai nodded and took her hand as she got up. They walked inside the woman's den, which was what Mai fell across from. It looked like a regular house once they got inside. "Sit." Said Akari, motioning to a pillow on the floor. Mai did what she was told, and sat down.
Akari went into another room to get bandages and other things. Mai looked around the house. It wasn't very decorated, but it still looked nice.
Its walls were painted dark red which hung a few Kitsune paintings too. There were 5 pillows laid out across the floor. A table rested in the middle of it all. Mai couldn't see the kitchen well, but it looked pretty plain too.Akari came out with the bandages and sat next to Mai. Her mask was off, showing her beautiful crimson eyes and curved pink lips. "I don't have anything to clean your wounds, so I'll have to lick you." Mai felt a little shocked "L-Lick me?" Akari nodded. Mai took a deep breath "Okay.."
Akari used her soft tongue to lap at the wounds on Mai's cheek. Once she finished she patched it up and wrapped her arms with the bandages. "You might be wondering...why I didn't lick your arms...it's because they really don't need cleaning...but your legs do...so pardon me.." She leaned down to Mai's legs and lapped at the wounds there. Mai winced a little from the slight sting, but got used to it as it started to tickle. Akari wrapped up Mai's legs once she finished.
"Now that you know I'm here...I'm afraid I can't let you leave.." She said seriously as Mai was about to leave. Mai turned around with a slight frown. "Why?" Akari rested her hands and her crossed legs and cleared her throat. "Kitsune's are special creatures that if anyone found us, we would be killed. So, in order to stay alive. We keep the humans we let inside out homes so they don't tell their village or family."
Mai started to grow irritated "Well I have no one to tell because I was running away from my village." Akari just kept her perfectly postured pose. "I'm sorry but I still can't let you leave."Mai clenched her fists a bit "Then why did you let me in? To keep me as a slave?" Akari pointed to her wounds "Well judging by those wounds you don't wanna stay outside until night now do you?" Mai's hands loosened "I see your point..." She sat down across from Akari "Sorry.." She mumbled. Akari placed her hand "No I should be sorry. I should've told you all this before." For once, out of the whole time Mai was there, Akari's facial expression changed. It looked like a sad smile. A smile you could easily tell was fake due to the sadness in the eyes. Mai wrapped her arms around Akari in a tight embrace. "It's okay...I understand...you're just trying to be safe.."
Akari smiled a bit and slightly hugged Mai back. Mai pulled away and grinned widely "Might as well get used to it here." She said happily as Akari began to show her around the dim-lighted den
