"No!" Bellamy's voice was firm but not too loud, knowing it would upset and scare the small girl in front of him. "There is no way you are coming with us."
"Why not?" Bambi glared up at the taller boy. "What reason are you gonna use this time,hm?"
"Abby might need you."
"I'm not the only medic she can turn to, Bell." She countered. "You know that."
Bellamy wanted to fight against her going some more but he caught sight of her sad eyes and it made him stop, knowing he had lost the fight as soon as he locked eyes with her.
Next thing Bellamy knew, he's walking with Bambi, grumpy looking compared to a super happy, excited, bouncing and curious Bambi.
Bambi was so wrapped up in taking in the beauty of everything around them that even Bellamy's complaining about bringing her some place unsafe stops. The captivated look on Bambi's face made Bellamy feel bad for cooping her up at the camp since they had first landed while almost everyone else has gotten to go out and explore, but he wanted her safe. She was too small and too innocent to be tainted by the dangers of the ground.
When they reached Polis, Bellamy turned to Bambi with a firm look on his face. "Stay close to me or Octavia. I don't want you to get hurt or lost—especially in a grounder camp."
"Understood!" Bambi promises, crossing her heart and Bellamy escorts her around, making sure she stayed safe and looking like a bodyguard to the grounders. It attracted attention, people wondering who she was to have a guard that was one of the top people of Skaikru, but no one would get close to ask with how Bellamy would glare at whoever moved to close to them.
While leading her around, dragging her away from her staring in awe at the tower, he spotted one of the things she's been dying to see up close—horses. she'd been begging him for him to take her out to see some other animals to draw and when she saw the grounders had horses, she pleaded for him to get her close to one.
"Close your eyes." He tells her and she complies without hesitation, holding a hand out for him to hold. The sight reminded him of when she was smaller and would ask to hold his hand because she was scared. He moves her carefully towards the horses. "Okay, open your eyes."
