Victoire awoke to the first signs of daylight gleaming through her windows. The sunlight illuminating the cream chiffon curtains that draped lightly above the window. Birds sang their sweet songs from the trees outside, and the sweet scent of roses entering through the window made Victoire smile with excitement. She stretched and sprawled across her bed then stared at the ceiling. Her bedroom's ceiling was adorned with a painting of clouds, flowers, and angels. Gracefully intertwined together to create a masterpiece, which was framed in gold trim and completed with a chandelier. Victoire noticed every single detail, taking in every stroke and flake of gold. It was peaceful for her to do so, and she enjoyed that part of her day. The time where she could be alone with the world.
A few minutes passed, and her servant, Sophie, came into the room. She brought in a clean dress and petticoat for the day and lay it on the couch near the French doors. Victoire had to start her day.
Victoire got out of bed, touching her bare feet to the cold, marble floor. She walked to the couch and looked at the pale pink dress. It was absolutely divine. The bodice and skirt joined together, with the skirt open in the front, enough to reveal the rose-colored petticoat. Red embroidered flowers and vines covered every inch of the material, reminding Victoire of the gardens. Her servant smiled. "I love it, it's marvelous." Victoire said, holding the dress up to her body. "I'm glad you like it, it came in this morning from the tailors. It was a gift. I think it's particularly beautiful" Sophie gushed.
Victoire changed and made her way to her closet, pulling out her favorite shoes. Pink heeled slippers with diamond buckles, which went with her new dress. The feeling of the soft, satin shoe material felt good against her cold feet.
At her vanity, Victoire painted her face in white and various colors. Pink rouge, red lips, blue eyeshadow, and placed above her cheek, was a small heart. Her black hair was covered with a pink wig, which was teased into a bouffant and detailed with complicated curls and feathers. Necessary for such an outfit.
