The Cresmont

"Lauren? Lauren Jensen get up and I am not going to ask you again" Mom called to me for what must be the 5th time that morning.

"Alright, I am up Jeez, why don't you moan at Clay and not just me mom!" I yelled back.

"I am , now come on hurry up, we haven't got much time left until me and your father have to be at work" Mom yelled.

"Clay, Honey come on get up" Mom yelled at the bottom of the stairs before she walked back into the kitchen to finish of breakfast.

"I'M UP, NOW SHUT UP" Clay stormed to the banister and Yelled back twice as loud with a hint of anger as he stormed back to his room and slammed the door and began to get ready for school.

"You just sit there Matt whilst I take all abuse" Lainie Jensen said sarcastically.

"Yeah, I will don't worry I don't want to go anywhere near them this time of the morning. I have learnt my lesson anyway, you can handle them 2 better than I can they're both just as feisty as you Lainie" She laughed knowing that was true.

A few moments me and Clay stomped our way down the stairs and like always me and Clay fight to see who can get to the bottom first. Guess who won? ME! , we made our way to the kitchen " That must have been luck because tomorrow your going down" Clay says shoving past me.
" Pft.....whatever" I say rolling my eyes.

"Mom do you have to yell first thing in the morning?" Clay said as he stifled a yawn and sat at the table and grabbed some toast and began smacking damn his lips like always and he knows it gets to me hence why he frigging does it.

"Yes, I do because you're both too lazy to get up for school" Mom took at seat at the table.

"Seriously Clay stop smacking your bloody lips you Douche bag" I said angrily as I sat down and grabbed some toast and began spreading Marmite everywhere.

"Shut up you spoilt brat" He barked back and continued to chew loudly.

"Oh yeah come on then make me" I said cockily with my mouth full of toast

"Will you both pack it in and so we can eat our breakfasts in peace" Mom demanded as she watched us both beginning to get angry with each other and we both could clearly see Mom was getting annoyed too.

Once we all had finished our breakfast we all left for work and school.
" has everyone got everything?" Mom said looking at at Clay.
" yes, can we please go?" I plead.
Mom nodded and we finally headed to school.

We pulled up outside school " Bye, now you both be good" Mom said in her stern lawyer voice as she got out the car and walked over towards Clay and started sorting out his hair and he tried shrugging her off " mom stop fussing I look fine" he snapped.
"Mom get off me your embarrassing me" Clay said as he tried to fight his way out of her grasp. I was too busy laughing which was winding Clay up.

"haha momma's boy haha wait till I tell everyone" Clay gave me evils.

Mom let go of Clay and hugged Me but I tried to prize myself free from my mother's firm grasp.
Clay was laughing but I was doing threatening hand gestures to clay behind Moms back.
" don't forget I start my new job at the crestmont today after school so I won't be home for dinner" Clay said to mom before he walked off.
I said bye to mom and headed into school and walked down the endless corridor and walked over to my locker and swapped some books over.  My friends came rushing over, talking about some thing but I'm not really listening as, I glanced round at the sea of students who filled the corridor, I spotted Clay standing at his locker alone and for a few seconds we make eye contact but it is soon Broken when the bell rings indicating that school has officially started.
School wasn't very eventful but I was glad to head back home. I said bye to my friends and started making my way home. I passed through the town and past the crestmont where I glanced at the time on my cell, Clay should be started work right now . I finally reached home. I walked up the steps and opened the door.
" Hi I'm home" I called out
" Hi lolly" I hear dads reply which is coming from his study.
I walkover to dads study and stand by the door " Hey dad" I say brightly.
" Hey Kiddo"he says turning to face me.
" is mom home?" Dad shook his head.
" how was school?" He asked.
" oh school was so so" I shrug.
We stand in silence for a few minutes before we hear the door open and moms voice calling out " Hey! Anyone home?" She called out closing the door behind her.
" In here love" dad called out.
Mom walked over to dads study " oh Hi sweetheart,  didn't know you were home" she said placing a kiss on the top of my head.
" I just got home actually, well I guess I better make a start on my algebra homework" I sigh.
" okay honey, I'll go and make a start on dinner" mom says.
I am half way through my home work when there's a knock at my bedroom door " come in" I call out.
The door opens and in walks mom.
" I don't suppose you want to do me a favour?" I nod " yeah sure what is it?" I ask.
" your brother for got his door key yet again this morning which is normally fine as one of us are usually home but he's working late tonight he won't be home until late, can you pop over to the crestmont and give him his key?" I sigh
" seriously, I swear he does it on purpose" I snap and mom raises an eyebrow at me " okay I'll go" I say jumping of my bed and taking Clay's key out if moms hand.
" I want you to go there and come straight home understood?" I nod " Yes mom, to the crestmont then straight home got it" I say, mom eyes me for split second before she hands me Clays key.
I leave the house and walk along the road and back through the town and lucky for me it is still late afternoon and it's still light out. I finally reach the Crestmont, I walked up to the ticket office to see its empty so, I open one of the large glass doors and walked into the lobby and over to the refreshment stall.
" excuse me, is Clay Jensen working today?" I ask.
" yeah he is, how can I help?" The girl with a friendly smile said.
" I'm Lauren but, my friends call me lolly, I'm Clay's sister" I say smiling back.
" Oh yeah I can see that....you have the same eyes and dark hair" I smile.
" So...how is my dummy of a brother doing. So far?" I smirk.
" he's doing pretty okay for a first day, I sent him to clean the restrooms" I start laughing.
" I didn't think he knew how to clean a toilet I mean after all he can just about do is pee in one with out spraying everywhere but down the damn thing " the girl laughs.
" I like you lolly" she said smiling.
" thanks....errm" I say finally realising I didn't know her name.
" I'm Hannah" she says brightly.
" well thanks Hannah I like you too" we both stand in silence.
" Lolly? What the hell are you doing here?" Clays asks looking confused.
" mom sent me because you forgot your keys again" I dangle his keys in front of him.
He grabs the key and take is from me " great thanks you can go home now" he says.
" don't be so horrible, let her stay for a while" Hannah says and I smile " thanks but, mom wants me to come straight home again" my cell phone vibrates and ring a in my pocket.
" oh speak of the devil" I say pulling out my cell.
" Hi mom, yes I'm leaving now and yes I gave him his key" I roll my eyes and Hannah chuckles.
" I'm leaving now, god give me a chance I've just got in the place" I sigh.
" yes I'll be home in a few minutes" I sigh and hang up.
" sorry gotta go, bye doofus see ya at home, nice meeting you Hannah" I say turning to leave " yeah you too" Hannah says cheerfully and I walk out the door and head home.
I didn't know it then but, that was the day that my life changed.

Like I said before in the summary this story is based on the book and Netflix series but I am adding my own things and people so I'm not copying word for word.
