Eden splattered the cooking dough on the waffle maker. "Yum! Waffles!" A female voice chirped, coming into the kitchen. "Yup. And I, the best chef ever shall make them!" He smirked, flexing like an idiot. "Oh, best chef ever, I think your dish is, well, on fire" Claire pointed towards the waffle maker.
Eden quickly spun around and glared at the waffle maker. "It's his fault, not mine!" He shouted, pointing at the maker. Claire couldn't believe it. He just placed the blame on a waffle maker. Face palming, she shoved past him and towards the machine.
She huffed in a breath. She opened the waffle maker, hoping that it wasn't as bad as it smelled. 2 seconds after this thought a loud beep was heard.
"Oh no" Claire muttered as Eden shrieked like a girl.
~~~Time skip~~~
After an hour of explaining why the fire alarm went off to the firefighters, Eden and Claire returned to the security of their house.
Crunch
Eden cringed as he looked down at the black, burnt waffle. "THE WAFFLE IS DEAD!" He shrieked. Claire nodded and patted his shoulder. "He's gone. A sad depressing death. And it's all your fault" she told him. Eden gasped. "MY POOR WAFFLE BABY! WE MUST BURY HIM BEFORE HIS SOUL IS LOST TO THE UNDERWORLD!" Claire glared at him.
Eden pouted. "Can we pwetty pwease, bury him?" Eden begged, his two different colored eyes growing wider.
Claire shook her head. "We are not having a waffle-funeral."She looked at him once more. Eden continued his begging stance, he even added a whimper. "Fine! We can have a waffle funeral" she surrendered. Eden laughed and hugged her, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you."
"What shall his name be?" Claire asked, smiling at the dork. "His name shall be... drum roll please" he paused for suspense, silently hoping someone would make a drum roll. No one did. He internally cried. "His name shall be Kyle!" Eden announced.
Claire facepalmed, but giggled all the same. "I'm going to go change into something black" he told her and rushed to the bedroom. He changed into all black. Running towards her, he grabbed Kyle from the floor.
They made their way outside, it was a cloudy evening. The sky knew today wasn't the right day to be sunny. Kyle was dead, burned. Eden released a tear as he buried Kyle.
Claire rolled her eyes. "Show some respect!" Eden hissed at her. Claire immediately bowed her head.
"GOODBYE KYLE!" Eden sobbed. Claire hugged him close as they wept for their first child.
