Day four

10:23 am

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. I groaned into my pillow and kept my eyes shut. I wish I was a morning person.

"Wake up! Wake up!" The voice said. "I let you sleep for three extra minutes, get up please."

"Brandon, why are you in my room?" I mumbled into my pillow.

"Trying to wake you up but clearly, I'm failing." He laughed. "Get your butt out of bed and let's get the day started."

"Can I just stay in bed all day?" I turned over to face him.

"Nope," he smirked. "Alexa wants us all down there. We're all waiting on you."

I groaned, "I forgot about that." I quickly got up and went into my bathroom. "Are you still in here?"
"Yeah, I'll wait for you," Brandon said. "But you might want to hurry. You know how impatient Alexa gets."

I laughed and put my hair up in a messy bun. I grabbed some leggings and a band tee. I went into the bathroom to change. I grabbed my slippers and walked downstairs with Brandon.

Everyone was eating breakfast and watching tv. Alexa was sitting on the couch, doing some college work. She heard me walk into the kitchen and shot me a quick smile. I didn't see Chloe anywhere. Maybe she left.

Ye- I frowned as she walked in and sat next to Hunter. Maybe she'll leave after Alexa talks to us.

I grabbed some cereal and sat down in the kitchen. Alexa looked at me and smiled. I gave her a small smile.

"Good morning." She was cleaning the kitchen. I should probably help around the house more. "You doing okay?"

"Yeah," I lied. "I'm fine. I'm just tired. I stayed up late last night watching Netflix."

I didn't watch tv at all last night. I stayed up for a couple of hours thinking and crying. I didn't want to talk about my feelings, because I probably sounded crazy. I thought my conversation with Brandon last night could clear things up, but it didn't. He was being nice to me this morning.

"Oh." She simply said. "If you ever need anything, just knock on my door. Even if it's just to brag about something."

"I will. Thanks, Alexa." I said.

She nodded at me and continued cleaning. My appetite had gone away and I just sat and played with my cereal. Everyone was on their phones and I sighed.

I made myself finish my cereal and I rinsed it off. Alexa was done cleaning and she walked into the living room. I was going to head up to my room to avoid everyone, but I heard her call my name.

"Yeah?" I asked, walking into the living room.

"We're all gonna talk now." She said. "Make yourselves comfy, we're gonna be here awhile."

I sat down on the loveseat. Was this really necessary? Why did Brandon have to run away? Couldn't he have just cleared his mind in his room, instead of making a big scene? I had so many unanswered questions, but it wasn't like I was going to ask Brandon them anytime soon.

There was awkward tension all around the room. I looked over at Brandon from the corner of my eye and saw he was sitting across from Chloe. At least he's not next to her. I shook my head and quickly got rid of the jealous thoughts.

"Chloe, you really need to get someone to pick you up. I talked to Sammy's mom last night and she said she didn't want you in the house." Alexa said.

"What? Why?" Chloe's voice was normally high pitched, but it was to another level of loud and squeaky now.

"She isn't very fond of you." Alexa awkwardly said. "So, who's coming to pick you up?"

She shook her head. "I told you nobody could. My parents are away and nobody is willing to come get me. Do you think I could stay a little long-,"

"No!" I shouted. Everyone looked at me and I sunk into the loveseat. "Just- no."

Chloe looked at me, a frown on her face. "Sammy, we're best friends. Why can't you let me stay?"

"We were friends. Past tense." I don't know where my confidence was coming from. Chloe used to be the outgoing one in our friendship. "I don't want you here."

"I thought you forgave me." She said. "I thought we were good."

"You thought wrong." I mumbled.

Alexa cleared her throat. "You know what, Chloe? I'm going to order you a uber, is that okay?"

"Sure." Chloe sighed.

"Okay." Alexa took out her phone. "Why don't you wait near the front door?" Chloe nodded and walked out of the living room. "This is really dramatic so I'm just going to give you your punishments." Alexa rubbed her temples. "Brandon, you already got your phone taken up. You aren't allowed to go out anywhere without me."

"Bu-," Brandon started off.

"You heard me." Alexa said. "Hunter, you were driving without an adult in the car. You aren't allowed to drive any vehicle for five months. I'm taking your phone away too."

"You can't!" Hunter said. "I have social media and I-,"

"It's just for a month and a half. Brandon, you get your phone back in two months." Alexa said. She turned to me. "Sammy, your phone is gone for two months already for the festival, so I think that'll be your punishment." She sighed. "You all are not allowed to leave the house for two weeks."

"What?!" We all screamed.
