Well, this has been an amazing day. I was stolen from my home by a water-controlling HOTTIE that was taken by a girl his age that looked like me but was prettier, more muscled, taller, and scarier. I was almost set on a fire by a scrawny maniac who also had an extremely hot girlfriend that seemed way out of his league. I was almost hit by a pair of elephants, one named "Hannibal" and the other turned into a boy that had a mousy little girlfriend with strange tendencies. Don't ask, I have no freaking idea. Then a confident girl with unbelievably beautiful kaleidoscope eyes showed up with her lightning slinging Superman of a boyfriend to show me around. Why are the most popular people at camp all BEAUTIFUL and HANDSOME and DATING EACH OTHER?
Yikes, I need to calm down. They've all been pretty nice to me and everyone seems to respect them. Let's see. Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Calypso, Frank, Hazel, Piper, and Jason. Seven of those eight people all want to know who I am, what I've been doing for the last 3 years, and why I wasn't claimed before now. While I understood some of what was happening, they expected me to know everything then and there. Question after question was hurled at me as I tried to uphold their standards of knowledge until I broke. "I don't KNOW! I've been here for all of 4 hours. You all expect me to know everything here but I don't. I've been catapulted from a relatively normal day compared to all of this-", I waved my hand for emphasis, "to a camp that normal people can't see and where children are taught how to kill 'monsters'. So please forgive me if I can't answer all of your questions."
My little outburst surprised everyone into silence- except Calypso, because she wasn't part of any of this or even here, and Annabeth because I don't know why- and Annabeth let out a half laugh. Her eyes swirled slower and she looked less angry. She said "You're right, but we will figure this out somehow. I'll talk to my mother." I looked at her confused, because what did mothers have to do with anything? "My mother is the goddess Athena," she said and I blushed.
"Oh, right."
At this, Piper volunteered to show me to the Hermes cabin and they all left the table. Her eyes found mine with surprising intensity and she said "Everything will be fine, I promise. At the campfire, everything will be sorted out." I felt a sense of calm start to come over me and started.
"I want to believe you, I really do. But whatever you are trying to do to me with your words-" I trailed off as I realized how stupid I sounded. She wasn't putting a spell on me. She was only trying to help me settle in-
"Hmm. Sorry. I figured charmspeak might help you calm down a little. You look like an Athena girl but you're resistant like Aphrodite." I gazed at her as she spoke but she was unfazed. "Of course, you have no idea what I'm talking about yet." Then without saying another word she stopped at a door and said, "This is you."
I cautiously stepped through and turned to ask Piper who these people were but she was already gone. A voice that belonged to one of two identical boys with mischievous eyes said, "Unclaimed, huh? That's odd, you're a bit old, but oh well. I'm Travis, this is Connor. We're head counselors of the cabin and we'd like to officially welcome you to the Hermes cabin. You can have that bunk on the wall until you are claimed and you can do whatever until dinner. I think that's it!" I nodded my head slowly and glanced around suspiciously. I swear that every pair of eyes in that cabin was sizing me up and assessing my belongings. Everyone in that cabin save a little girl and boy near my bunk had eyes that looked like they'd steal everything I had the second I turned my back. I put my wallet down under the mattress and silently dared everyone to do something- and to my relief, they all went back to what they'd been doing. I laid back on the bunk and tried to sleep.

"JESUS CHRIST WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" By the time I was fully awake, I had one of the twins on the floor and the other campers against the walls.
