Raul's POV:
I am tired of containing my emotions any longer. It's the worst feeling in the world to be with someone you love so much without them knowing it.
(Flashback)
"Get your ass down here!" my dad yelled from downstairs. Oh no, this could not be good. My dad had been a hardcore alcoholic since I was born, I was afraid of him. I shakily came down the stairs. "We don't have enough money to support this damn rent!" he screamed. "Well if you stopped smoking and drinking we would have the money!!" I snapped back. My dad's hand flung towards me with a hard smack across my tender cheek. "Get another job and stop being so damn lazy!!". I couldn't do this anymore, the constant yelling and fighting. I reacted fast, grabbing an empty beer bottle. I smashed it on top of my dad's head, he fell to the floor, head bleeding lightly. I didn't know if he would die or not, but I didn't care. I had to leave before he came to.
I grabbed a backpack, a few pairs of clothes, a coat, a toothbrush, my phone, camera, all the cash I had, twenty dollars of my dad's money, some granola bars, and a water bottle. I ran out the front door without a second thought.
I didn't have a car due to our financial issues, and I didn't want to waste any money on a bus ticket. So even though I had bad feelings about it, I decided to hitchhike. I stood on the side of the road with my thumb out to see. A very nice and expensive looking car came up and stopped in front of me. It was a dark red, my favorite color. The man driving rolled down his window, he looked very rich and sophisticated. He had a black suit and a grey tie, he must have been a businessman. "Hey buddy, are you lost?" he said to me. This seemed a little strange, seeing that I was 18 years old and looked even older. I ignored it and said, "No, I just need a ride". "Well hop in then! I would be happy to drive you" he said, he was almost too polite. "Where are you heading?" the man asked me. "Anywhere but here" I said, and the car started to move.
The car smelled of cologne, cigarettes, and this strange sweet sickening scent. The man kept his car pretty clean though, the only things he had in there was a briefcase and a box of tissues. He seemed very nice. We had driven about 30 minutes and were in an area without a city nearby, just land and the highway. I was looking out of the window, the car ride was awkwardly silent, I wasn't expecting it to be. Then I heard a distinct noise, the click of a gun, I started to turn my head before it was stopped by the nuzzle. "Don't fucking move or I'll blow your brains out" the man said. How could this be happening? He seemed like such a nice person, was this a dream?
