I ran downstairs, all my belongings packed into a suitcase. Hearing the faint noise of a car pulling up outside my heart started to race. Luke was here. He was my knight in shining armour, come to save me. My love, the only one.

I opened the door, which creaked ever so quietly, and slipped outside into the fresh air of the morning breeze.

There he was, standing there, arms welcoming me. I threw my things aside and ran into Luke's welcoming arms.

"I love you." He whispered in my hear and he picked me up. Our faces met; his eyes as deep as the ocean.

"I love you, too, Luke."
