Chapter 23 Unexpected

"Hobi!" 

"Hobi where are you?!"

It was already getting dark and Hobi had already stopped crying while lying on the stairs and looking at the sky. He felt numb for crying his eyes out and he didn't feel like going home in case Jin and Tae were home, and making them worry was the least of his mind. He felt his phone vibrate several times but refused to check his phone for wanting some alone time. His ears perked up when he heard a familiar voice calling his name. Silently groaning, he hopes that whoever is looking for him would leave him alone for now as he gathers his scatter thoughts. But luck wasn't on his side and his vision was blocked by a panting redhead. 

"Hobi, there you are! I've been looking for you!", Jimin panted, trying to catch his breath. Hobi glance at the boy, wondering why he was looking for him. He sat up and Jimin took a seat next to him, concern filling his eyes. When he saw Hobi cried and ran off, he chased him down, ignoring Yoongi. He thought he wasn't going to find the boy but by some miracle, he found him. 

Hobi sigh and laid back down once more, Jimin following suit. It was a moment of silence as the duo stare at the dark sky, and Hobi finally spoke. "Why did you come running after me Jimin? I thought you'd be with....that guy," Hobi bit his lip, not wanting to say his name. Jimin glanced at him and his heart squeezed when he saw tears pooling in Hobi's eyes once more. He hesitantly wipes Hobi tears away with his sleeve and just when he was about to pull his hand away, Hobi suddenly took his arm and place it over his eyes, holding it in place. Jimin sat frozen, not knowing what to do at the unexpected action. 

"H-Hobi, w-what are you doing?," Jimin stuttered. He didn't know what to feel at their sudden close proximity and Hobi didn't respond. Jimin was about to ask again when he saw the boy shaking and his grip on Jimin's arm tightened, and he felt the tears soaking through his sleeve. Jimin slightly gasps before scooting closer to J-hope, not saying a word as he let Hobi use his sleeve to soak his tears. 

"Hobi...it helps if you talk it out instead of keeping it in. I know we just met hours ago, but we're friends now, right?", he asked softly, his heart aching at the crying boy. Hobi hiccup before sniffing. "Jimin, it hurts. I didn't realize how much it would hurt to find out the truth. I thought that...when...w-when I meet him again, I would be able to handle the reason why he left me, b-but...look at me! I'm so pathetic. I ended up slapping him and now I'm crying again, haha..he must be mad at me now since I slapped him-" "He deserves that slap! How can he pick some chick over you? I may not know you at a personal level but in a short amount of time, you seem to be a great guy!," Jimin huffed. Hobi lets out a small chuckle as he gently let go of Jimin's arm and glance at the sky once more with puffy eyes. 

"I don't want to go home yet. My friends will worry when they get home..," Hobi whispered. They're probably home already....he thought, thinking of his friends at home probably gushing to each other about how great their date went. Meanwhile, Jimin had the craziest idea at the moment and hesitantly opens his mouth only to close it. But he decided that Hobi would need comforting right now and since he didn't want to go home, he figured why not. "Hobi, do you want to come over to my place instead?", Jimin quietly asked, not daring to look at Hobi. Hobi eyes widen as he turns his head to Jimin. He suddenly smiles and Jimin felt his heart skip a beat. 

"I'm not gonna see random giant dildos in your house right? Not that I don't mind --" Hobi felt a slap on his arm and laugh at the stuttered, red-face Jimin. "...How did you know?", Jimin asked quietly. 

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!," Hobi shouted, his hand over his heart. "AM I FINALLY GOING TO LIVE OUT MY FANTASIES?!" 

"Yah keep it down, people are gonna hear!!," Jimin hissed at him, leading them to his house.
