Chapter 41 Past

"Hold your horses, I'm coming!" Hobi hollered, annoyed at the sudden visit so early in the morning. It's currently 9 a.m. which is still too early for him. As soon as he opens the door, he wasn't expecting to be tackled onto the ground by a crying mochi. "H-hyung!"

"Oh my gosh, Jimin?? Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?? Did something happened?!," Hobi asked, concern as he holds Jimin in his arms, occasionally rubbing circles on his back. 

Jimin sniffed and sat up, wiping away his tears. "I confessed to Yoongi-hyung the other day!" 

Hobi stiffened. He forced himself to relax before lifting them up from the ground and making over to the couch. "Okay, spill. What happened?" 

Jimin grabs himself a pillow and place it on his lap, hugging it. "We were on our usual friend's date and I took your advice and searched up sexual dance to practice and at the end of the day,I told him about my special someone and.....showed him the dance. Then I confessed at the end." Jimin plop his head onto the pillow, his face burning from the sudden memory.  

"Jinjja? What did he say, Jimin??" Hobi asked, his eyes softening when Jimin cast a sad smile. "He said......he already has feelings for someone else and that he was sorry he couldn't return it back..." 

"Jimin-"

"But I won't give up, hyung. I really, really like him and I-I don't want to let him go like that. I know I'm sounding foolish but I'll officially give up on him when he's in a happy relationship. S-so if you are the one that can make him happy, then I won't hate you nor will I be angry at you if he chooses you, hyung. What matters is that you two are happy and if he's happy, then I'll be happy for him even if it hurts."

Hobi couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Jimin, I'm glad to hear that you won't give him up but what makes you think I'll make him happy? I don't want to see you hurt, I mean you like him alot....more than I do."

He felt a gentle hand on top of his and looked into Jimin's sorrowful eyes. "I know you can make him happy, hyung. Because you're the one that's in his heart. Not me."

Jimin sigh as he rubs his tired eyes. He couldn't stop thinking about it. Will he really be happy if Yoongi and Hobi are in a relationship? He was glad that Yoongi didn't reject him harshly but he felt stupid for getting his hopes up. Things were a bit awkward between them after that and it frustrated him so much that he would sometimes lose sleep over it. Come to think of it, Yoongi seems unfazed and continued to treat him the same, but for Jimin, it was embarrassing to face him again after that. He found it hard to stay by his side without the memory resurfacing...so he found himself heading to the back of the school to eat rather than go to the rooftop. As he nears the backyard, he blinks in surprise seeing a lone figure sitting by himself under a tree. 

He walked closer and his eyes widen upon eye contact with the other. "Oh, hey Jimin. What's up?"

"Jackson-hyung! What are you doing here by yourself?," Jimin asked as he sits beside the elder. 

"Just needed to clear my thoughts for a bit."

Jimin nodded. "I understand I feel the same way."

Jackson looks at him, raising an eyebrow.  "You having problems too? Is that why you're here?"

Jimin bit his lip, slowly nodding. "Yeah. It's...complicated, I guess. But I don't want to talk about it. Hyung, can I ask you something?"

Jackson nodded, taking a sip of his soda. "Shoot."

"Have you ever liked someone so much only to see them liking someone else?" 

Jackson stayed silent, pondering over his answer before slowly nodding. "Yeah, man. I have and it sucks. I didn't realize it'd turn out this way though. I'm guessing that's what you're going through?"
