Chapter 7

.....................Kaneki...................

That's all I could think about. 'Is he okay?!'...'Where did Tsukiama take him?' All these thoughts running through my head as I ran, following Touka.

When we got there I saw Nishiki's girlfriend tied down to the table and Kaneki, struggling to get out of Tsukiama's grip.

I ran towards Tsukiama, my Kagune breaking out, I quickly swiped it at him, he dodged it but I did cut him a little. "Let go of Kaneki!" I yelled. "I'm never letting go of Kaneki!! I'm going to eat him while he's eating!" I growl.

He starts running at me, dodging my attacks. He stabs me with his Kagune, I fall to the ground in pain "Mei!!" Kaneki yells. Touka shows up "Tsukiyama, get away from Mei!" Touka screams at purple haired man in front of me"

"Ahhhh... Touka-chan, your here, finally I can have a good fight now" Tsukiama said looking at me, pulling me up by my hair. "She's as weak as Kaneki" he says.

Touka grins at him, she knows that I'm going to rip him to shreds, but I need time to heal so Touka goes and holds him off. Nishiki gets in the way, yelling at Tsukiama to let Kimi go...Nishiki's weak and can't last very long against Tsukiama, but, it gives me time.

"M-Mei- chan, I can help" Kaneki whispers softly to me. "What? How?" I look at him in confusion. He looks down and says, "you need meat to heal, right?" I nod my head and then figure out what he's trying to say, "b-but Kaneki-Kun..." I said looking down, "okay, I'll do it" I say, putting my head up.

    I go over to Kaneki and pull his shirt by his shoulder down. "Are you ready?" I ask him, he nods his head curtly and takes a deal breath. I bite into his shoulder, I feel the metallic goodness seep into my mouth. As I get a good amount I look over to see Tsukiama Staring at me, both horrified and sad.

      "HOW DARE YOU bEAT MY KANEKI!!!" He yelled in anger and ran towards me, I ducked as his Kagune went for my head and stabbed him in the gut, I kept doing it repeatedly until he stopped moving.

   "Kaneki-kun, are you okay?!" I said in a worried tone, checking him for any other wounds, "M-Mei, I'm okay..." he said looking down, his cheeks burning, I give out a big sigh of relief, "good, I was worried about you, Kaneki-kun, now let's get out of here." He nods his head and follows me out.

    I drop Kaneki off at Anteiku. "Are you sure your going to be okay walking home by yourself?" Kaneki asks, "I'm going to be fine, Kaneki-kunnn, your so sweet!!" I say hugging him.he blushes furiously and says "t-thank you" I smile, "no problem, by Kaneki-kunnn" I say, walking away.

When I got home, I realized it was 2:30AM. "Oh crap, I have work in the morning" I decided to take a shower to get the blood off of me and flopped into bed. "You know what, I'm going to call in sick tomorrow, I need this sleep"

TIME SKIP TO THE MORNING

  I wake up to bouncing on my bed and a warm blob falling on me. "Ahh!" I try to jump up but somethings holding me down. "Mei!!! Wake up!! Why aren't you at work?!" I hear Juuzou's voice echo off the walls. "Ummmm...I didn't get a lot of sleep last night and felt sick" I lied about the sick thing but I was honest when it came to not getting sleep.

    "Oh no!! Mei is sick!! I gotta help her!" He runs into the kitchen with me yelling behind him, "no, it's okay! You don't need to help!" But he just ignores me. I hear a cabinet closing and he comes back with a large bag of different candies mixed. He gives it to me and goes "here you go Mei..." I can see the pain on his face while he waits for me to take it, holding himself back from grabbing the candy and eating it all. I look up and him and say "you can have the candy, I shouldn't be eating candy when I'm sick, but I could use a cup of coffee" I say. " THANK YOU SO MUH MEI!! I WILL MAKE YOU COFFEE!!" He yells, running back into my kitchen.

      "JUST DON'T TRY TO BURN MY HOUSE DOWN!!" I yell behinds him, just then I hear glass shatter and I cringe.

   A while later, Juuzou comes back with my coffee, he walks steady and is very focused on not spilling it. I thank him and see him waiting in anticipation for me to take a drink, I take a sip and cringe. It's too sweet. "It's good," I start and see him smiling, happy that I liked it. "But, I like my coffee black with nothing sweet, but you still did great!!" I  explained to him.

    I got up and have the coffee to him, I made my way to the kitchen to make coffee. "Ohh, so that's how you're supposed to make it." He says, I give him a weird face and ask "how did you make it?" He looks over and said "I took some candy and sugar and put it in with the black powder stuff then after its made I dropped a lot of sugar and candy in it!!" I look at him and said "Yeah, never make it like it that way, just put the coffee grounds in and let it pour into the cup."

   "Okay!" He says happily munching on his candy. I take my coffee and sit on the couch. Juuzou plops down next to my with his bag of candy in hands and a smile on his face.

  I turn on the TV and give Juuzou the remote to choose what sound interesting to him. BIG MISTAKE!!
