Unlike this story, my love for her was partless

A soft melody echoed in the chamber of the Grav Lift. This was in stark comparison to the blood and guts covering Ralph and I's clothes. Imagine that. A giant cyborg dinosaur and little old me, crammed into an elevator, waiting for our next run in with those space goons.

Well keep imagining it. This Grav Lift had to of been the slowest in all the Galaxy. That coupled with a dim witted dinosaur blabbering on about why he likes bacon so much, made for quite a burdensome ride. It had me looking for anything to escape that dumb dinosaur. That's when I saw her. She had skin as purple as mountain flowers and tentacles that could  keep you warm at night. My heart instantly melted at the silhouette she cast through her areas glass ceiling.

First thing was first. I had to shut this dinosaur up. I broke the window in the Grav Lift and hurled the chunk of space pirate I was holding hurdling towards my love. "Ralph, catch!" Echoed in the tiny chamber as his instincts kicked in and he jumped forth with all his might. I scrambled to grab hold of his foot as we both went flying out of the Grav Lift and into open space.

We were drifting further and further from the Tentacle. That's when we saw the sheer amount of pirate ships latched onto us. Lined on it's hull like fleas on an unbathed dog. I imagine cave men such as yourself are quite accustomed to fleas. Anyway, there we were, motionless and I might've feared for our lives if it wasn't for the window washing uniform Ralph had on. The gravity boots automatically kick on as a safety precaution. This sent Ralph and me flying towards the ship.

I didn't want to land just anywhere, though. I wanted to meet my new love. So I saddled up on Ralph's back, let out a yeehaw, and steered that dinosaur right into my destiny. We slammed with a thud on her glass ceiling. Our faces smushed against the glass, next to the piece of space pirate I chucked. She looked up at us shocked.

With a flat face and pursed lips, I said "Hey Octo-babe".
