I woke up cold with no one around me. "where is josh" I thought I remember falling asleep next to him.

I lift myself of the bed and place my feet into the cold wooden floor.

I see a note on my bedside table and pick it up, I open it and it reads

Dear y/n

Get dressed and come downstairs. We are waiting for you

PS: we love you

Family

I walk into the bathroom and have a quick shower, I grab a towel and wrap it around my short figure (if you are tall, you're not anymore)

I look in the mirror, I feel happy and confident.

I walk back into my room towards the dresser and pick out a grey shirt and some ripped black jeans, I peel of the towel and throw the clothes off.

Before I walk downstairs I dry my hair off a bit.

I grab my phone and check any notifications i have, I start walking downstairs.

I walk into the living room and see everyone starring at me.

Josh, Jenna, the whole Joseph family, my family, even my brother and sister and even Josh's family.

"is this an intervention, did I do something wrong?" I ask

Mrs Joseph get up and walks over to me, she walks me over to the couch.

"hunny this is definitely not and intervention, we have a surprise for you" she says

Everyone stares and me while Mrs Joseph hands me some documents.

"what are these for" I ask

"well read it" she simply says

I look down at the papers and start tearing up, they are adoption papers.

I look at the bottom and see my parents signature and the Joseph signature.

" y/n we aren't the best parents and we truly want what's best for you, and since you are basically living with the Joseph's now, we thought it would just be easier if they adopted you" my mum said

I turn to her and hug her "thank you" I say

I turn to Mrs and Mr Joseph and hug then "thank you so much" at this point I'm in tears

"you're not dun yet you still need to sign it" Tyler said

Josh hands me a pen, I take it and look down at the papers. I sign the papers and feel relieved.

"does this mean I'm a Joseph now?" I ask

"yes it does" Tyler says

I laugh to myself and think y/n Joseph.

I stand up "thank you guys, this means so much to me" I say before walking out of the house, I'm so happy I can't even explain it. I sit on the bench on the deck.

I hear the door open and see Josh walking and sit beside me.

"why are you out here?" he asks

"I don't know I'm just so happy I don't know what to do with myself" I reply

"he wraps his arm around me "hey it's okay your a Joseph now, and maybe later you might even be a Dun" he says

"Joshua William dun are you saying I might marry your brother" I say jokingly

He frowns a bit "no" he puts his head down

"awe Josh I'm joking I love you and only you it would be a pleasure to be your wife one day" I say

"I love you too y/n, forever and always"

"forever and always"

"we should head back into the house" Josh says

We get up and walk into the house, and everyone is starring at us "what?" I ask

"you are not marring me y/n" Jordan says

I looked at him confused and look at Josh he's just laughing, I realised what I had said earlier and laugh a little.

"you too are so sappy" Tyler says

"and you and Jenna aren't" I throw back

"alright everyone who wants cake" I hair my new mum say

I hear an array of "me" I walk into the kitchen up to my new parents "hey guys it's gonna take me some time for me to call you "mum" and "dad" so I'm sorry if I don't call you that straight away"

"y/n we understand just take your time okay don't rush things" Mr Joseph well my dad says

The rest of the day was spent telling stories and jokes.

*time skip to night bought to you by my mum saying "hello"*

Tyler grabbed his ukulele while me, Jenna and Josh huddled next to the fire place, I was snuggled into Josh's side, he securely had his arm around my waist.

Tyler came back and started strumming.

"now the night is coming to an end"

"ohhhhhhh" (<IDK just go with it)

"the sun will rise and we will try again"

"ohhhhhhh"

"stay alive, stay a live for me"

He carried on the song as I slowly fell asleep swaying with josh

"I love you little sis" I heard Tyler say

"I love you to big bro" I say quietly looking and Tyler, he kissed my forehead and I fell asleep.
