Louis’ POV

Everything was perfect. Alfie was here and he was perfect. It happened so suddenly.

“HARRY!” I screamed watching him go limp. I quickly took Alfie as the doctors pushed me away. “What’s wrong with him?” I cried.

“Louis you need to leave.” Kelly said seriously as a nurse took the baby.

“No! No I need to stay with him. Please!” I begged.

“I’m sorry Louis. You need to go. We’ll take care of him I promise. You can see Alfie soon.” She said leading me to the door.

“Please take care of him Kelly! I can’t lose him.”

“We will.” She smiled sympathetically and went back into the room. I slowly walked down the hall and out to the waiting room. I can’t lose him. Not now. Not after everything we’ve been through. He’s my Harry.

“Louis!” Anne yelled running over. “What’s wrong?” She asked worriedly.

“He’s dying.” I mumbled falling into her arms. “He’s not going to make it.”

“What do you mean?” She questioned pulling me back.

“His heart…it stopped. They took Alfie.” I sobbed.

“Is Alfie ok?”

“Yes. He’s perfect. Everything was perfect. He just stopped. He was fine…everything was fine. They won’t let me see him.” I knew I wasn’t making any sense but I just had to try and explain.

“What’s going on?” Zayn asked coming up with Liam and Niall.

“Harry’s…he’s…” I couldn’t say anything.

“His heart stopped.” Anne answered for me. She looked calm but I could tell she was freaking.

“WHAT?! Is he ok?” Niall panicked.

“I don’t know.” I sniffled.

“How’s Alfie?” Liam asked.

“He’s good. They want to feed him and stuff.” I nodded.

“So, he could die?” Liam asked quietly.

“Y-Yes.” I answered. After that everyone was silent, we sat waiting for some news. Any news. “Where’s Julie?” I asked.

“She’s with Robin. She was asleep when you called so I didn’t want to wake her.” Anne answered.

“Oh that’s ok. He’ll be ok.” I sighed. “He has to be. He will right?”

“I don’t know Louis. I hope so. God I hope so.” She said quietly. Just then she got a phone call and had to leave. “It’s Robin. I’ll get him to bring in Juliet.” I nodded as she walked off.

“He’ll be ok Lou. Don’t stress.” Zayn smiled rubbing my back.

“But what if he isn’t? I can’t look after a new baby and a 3 year old alone. I’m not as good as he is Zayn. He’s good at everything. Juliet loves and looks up to him so much. She’ll never be the same if he doesn’t make it.” I cried.

“Lou you need to calm down. It’s not going to help Juliet if you’re panicking and crying when she gets here. Just breathe.” Zayn instructed. I nodded and took a few deep breaths. Zayn’s right. If I have to explain everything to Juliet I have to do it calmly and without scaring her. I don’t know how she’s going to react. She was only a little kid. I got out my phone and decided to call mum. She told me she wanted to know when Alfie was born. I dialled her number quickly and waited for her to pick up.
