I found out that his name is Dave, my Supervisor, my superior. He looks young tho, for his position. He's just 24.
After having my lunch with my new friends, I helped Ms. Mara, the multitasking machine with the papers she's into.
I learned that I would also make related documents for the production processes and other stuffs. Before I knew it two more hours and my very first day here was done.
Employees in this company is entitled for two break times and for my second break I didn't go to the cafeteria, instead I went near the parking area and sat under the acacia tree.
At last, I felt the warm love of the sun but still feel empty. I raised my hand like I was reaching for the sun and closed my eyes.
And I felt a presence in front of me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that smiling face again. I pulled my hand back and smiled back.
"Are you tired?" He sat beside me. I want to tell him that being tired is all I feel but no thanks, he's my superior.
"Maybe. Because it's something new." Without even looking at him.
"You think you'll last?" I smiled and shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you nervous in front of me? or you're scared? or what?"
I looked at him and I felt nothing, what's new? He looked at me and a smile plastered on his face again.
"Why do you always smile?" I asked out of the blue.
But there's no turning back. He seemed surprised by what I said. My brows showed confusion with his expression.
"Smiling is better than frowning." Still smiling. I don't know how did I manage to look at him like I was analyzing his face. I nodded lightly and turned my face away. "Are you really like that?"
Looking on the ground I tilted my head to face in front. Am I?
"You seemed a very quiet person who doesn't know how to smile. You know, sometimes you need to change your personality for a moment for some situations to see what's really valuable in life. You'll see a change in perspective. And you'll never feel tired or somehow reduce the feeling of tiredness." I silently absorbed everything he said.
I looked at him and saw him stood up. I don't know what to say. Should I thank him or what?
He looked at me again and smile. "Try it often" he said and walked away.
