Whisk. Whisk. Whisk.
The glass bowl was frantically banged with the metal whisk, as though the poor eggs were planning on escape . She stopped whisking to hear the faint voices in the dining area. She stood outside the dining area; eavesdropping.
"Sahiba I don't understand anything at all, what do I do" Meeza let out an exhasperated sigh. She had been hoping Saahir would forget about the watch, but boy was she wrong.
"Relaaax, I'm here na" she winked and tipped her chair back yelling:
"Jenny?""Almost ready" she called whisking the bowl rapidly to make it sound like she's busy.
"I'm Asfar Khan's daughter Meez, even I have a right on his money, dont worry I'll whiff something up, I'm sure we can find the same watch"
"That's not the point!" She snapped shutting her eyes. "Where did it go?" Came her low whispered words.
Sahiba opened her mouth to answer and
Jenny appeared with great suddenness cutting Sahiba. Jenny cleared her throat ignoring what she heard and pretending it had not affected her. Her hair was pinned into a neat bun at the top of her head with stray hair framing her face.
She held a silver tray with a domed lid. Three maids stood alongside each holding trays of food and dressed neatly with aprons and bandanas covering their hair. Meeza stared at the food in a bewildered state. Sahiba thanked her after she set the food on the table. She couldn't wait to devour on the scrumptious food."Even your meals are full of luxury"
Meeza didn't realise she was speaking out her mind. Sahiba choked on her morsel."I just wonder where it went" Meeza repeated after they finished their meal.
"Back at it again" sahiba wiped her mouth with a napkin.
"I'm sorry I'm just so perplexed as to where it went"
"I dont know Mii" Sahiba sighed, after noticing jenny lurking around the dining area. She eyed jenny intently, her behaviour struck her as somewhat odd. She squeezed Meeza's hand and motioned her head in Jenny's direction. Meeza frowned in confusion and understood what sahiba was saying.
"Noo! Tauba, dont think such things Sahiba its so wrong!" She shrugged a "you never know"
"Anyways put this away, today's my last day here! We have to go out for shopping! Pedicures, manicures, massages, I want to treat myself today"
"Just what I had in mind for the two of you" a voice interrupted the two.
"Morning mom" Sahiba lifted the teacup to her mouth and greeted.
"AssalamuAlaikum ammi" Meeza stood up engulfing her into a hug.
"How are you my lovely"
"Alhamdulillah" she replied. "What's this mum?"Aunty Rida held out two cards.
