It was the first day of school and I was being, yet again mobbed by girls. Some girls just think their so good and so much better than everyone else when the truth is they are just making them selves look stupid. I hate the ones especially who tease people just to get my attention. I don't see why they think I would like that? My name is Adam Samuels and all the girls in my school are horrible and annoying. They think that they even have a chance with me, they are to dumb to see how agrivated they make me and that I completely hate them. I probably shouldn't say all the girls are like this because there is the odd few that are kind and don't mob me like seagulls. Although the thing with these girls are that one of them is teased by all the girls in the school. Her name is Casey and although I hardly know anything about her, I cant imagine how hard those girls make life for her. I'm seriously surprised why she still goes to this school.
" Ok girls." I said trying to sound nice, " could please stop mobbing me it can really annoying and just so you know I am not interested in a girl who tries." This got a few angry looks from a couple of the girls. As they slowly started retreating all exept one stayed. I haven't seen this girl before the others started to go away so she must of come wile the others were leaving.
" What is it that you want, I've already had enough of crazy girls confessing their love for me, if that's what you're here for hurry up and get it done with."
" I seriously can't see why all those girls are obssed with you, you seem to absolutely hate them." The girl said. " I'm here because I want to be friends with you. I though you would like a girl friend that could tell you how to avoid the mobs of girls."
" Wait what? You just came to here to ask me if I wanted you as a girl friend? No thanks." I started walking away shocked at what the girl had said.
" Wait! That's not what I meant. I don't mean girlfriend boyfriend girl friend I mean a friend that's a girl!" She told me. It I still kept walking away ignoring her. " please I just thought you would want those girls to stop hassling you." This made me stop and think.
" How can I be sure that you arnt going to mob me yourself?"
" Because I have never thought of boys in that way!" She said and I realised what she was saying? She was saying she wasn't interested in boys. " If you change your mind and want me to be your friend meet me at the house next to the staff car park at 6:00 tonight."
" Wait a sec, I don't even know your name and you expect to turn up at your house?"
" My name is Marissa, and that's not my house. That house was abondened after my father was killed there. I now use it as a place to go when I need some space."
This girl seemed very trusting of me. It seemed as if she know me, but I had never seen her in my life. " Well Marissa," I said to myself, " we'll see how trustworthy you can be."

As I walking home from school that day I wondered what this girl Marissa could possibly know that would stop all these girls. I had decided that I would meet her and she seemed a lot different than all the other girls in school so mabye it would be good to have her as a friend.
When I got home my mum as always fussed over my unorganised bag filled with stuff I didn't need.
" Mum I need to go somewhere at six. I am meeting a friend near the school so don't worry if I disappear soon."
" Oh darling that's fine I don't see the problem with that."
After I had finished getting ready I said by to my mum and started walking to the place where I was supposed to be meeting Marissa. When I got there there was no one there. I wondered if she had already left thinking I wasn't coming.
" Hey there, I was getting worried you wernt going to turn up. Well I guess I was wrong." I heard a voice say from somewhere behind me. I then turned around and saw Marissa standing behind me.
" You weren't wrong to think that. I didn't really know if I was going to come myself but I thought I may as we'll see what you have to say."
" Well what are you doing just standing there? You can go in you know?"
" Geez, no need to get angry" I said walking into the empty house. Marissa came up behind me turned the light on and sat down on the couch telling me to take a seat. The room was quite sparse with only two couches and a counter in the center of the room.
" I see you have cleared this place out then."
" Yep we took everything over to our new house about a week ago. Although I asked my mum if we could keep the couches here so that I can have this place to hang out."
" Sounds reasonable." I muttered to myself. I walked over to the second couch sitting across from Marissa, hoping with all hope that she wasn't just going to spring on me like most girls would. " So, why did you want to be my friend anyway?" I asked thinking that this was a pretty smart question.
" Well, It's just that I needed another guy friend and seeing how all the other boys are complete flirts well, I thought you would be the best option. Although I see the reason if you don't want to be my friend. It seems the only experience that you have had with girls is them just mobbing you, trying to get your attention so that they can win your affection."
" How do you manage to know so much about me? Yes that is the only expirience I have had with girls but if you could be different then I really would like you as a friend. You see I just want those girls to leave me alone. They think that they can win my affection but trying to impress me will only make me think they are big flirts. Also like you I do not like flirts so by trying to make me like them it only turns me off them." I said this, feeling that I could trust this girl. I had remembered that I had seen her before. Exept that had been when she was with her friend Casey. Casey was the girl that was always teased . Marissa always stood up for her and never leaked her secrets. We all knew that Casey was hiding some pretty big secrets. This was one of the reasons that she was the least liked by the girls and the reason why a lot of the boys liked her. Although all these boys would not dare tell anyone but me as they thought it would make everyone hate them as she was considered " unpopular " and " nerdy " although she really wasn't. " You know your friend Casey?"
" Yeah, what about her." Marissa said looking like she was holding something back.
" Well you should tell her that she really isn't as hated as she thinks she is"
