Hello beautiful people. Hope you guys like this installment of Forever My Lady.

your point of view.

Filing the vanilla folders in alphabetically order to organize them somewhat better, this was the last thing I had to do before leaving for the weekend.

Humming to the music playing from my Pandora app from my phone, I closed the filing cabinet with a thud and grabbed my rain jacket from the back of my seat.

Making sure to check my emails before leaving, I looked out the window with a frown.

It was raining cats and dogs and I wished it would stop until I reach my car at least and not defend myself with my umbrella.

Pulling the slippery material on to my body to cover up my dress, I grabbed my things from the bottom drawer of my desk before turning the lights off and calling it a day from here.

Saying my goodbyes to my co-workers as I made it to the lobby, I was beaming with excitement, remembering that Jalen's birthday was tomorrow.

With him turning the big five this year, we both decided that we were going to split his birthday celebration into two days. Today was eating at his favorite restaurant, Red Robbins before topping it off with the city's zoo tomorrow.

"Have a nice weekend Miss Y/l/n and tell Jalen I said happy birthday for me," Crystal smiled as I passed her desk and pulled out my umbrella from my purse.

"Will do," I smiled at her. "And you have a wonderful weekend as well," I finished off before walking out of the glass building and into the ugly weather.

Walking to my parked car across the street, I groaned, feeling the water rise to my heels, making the insides wet.

Getting inside the car and throwing my belonging onto the passenger side, I closed my door quickly, ready to pick up Jalen from daycare.

Putting the key into to ignition, I turned it towards me to crank it up, but nothing happened.

Startled at the crack of thunder, I tried once again but came to no avail when my car didn't start.

Pounding my fist into the steering wheel in frustration, this was the third time this stupid car has broken down on me in the last three weeks.

First, it was the transmission and then it was the radiator, and now it was something else wrong with this piece of crap.

Crying like a big baby, everything bad had to happen to me and seemed to me only.

Letting out a few curse words from my mouth, I grabbed my insurance card from the glove department to dial someone to come and tow my car away to an auto body shop.

"This is State Farm," a lady from the other end of the line said in a cheery voice. "How may I help you today?"

"Hi," I said after awhile of trying not to sound like I was crying just a minute ago. "I'm in front of Keith Powers Enterprises and my car has stopped on me."

"What's your name sweetie?" She asked.

"Y/n, Y/n Y/l/n."

"Alright then Miss Y/l/n, somebody will be there to help you shortly."

"Thank you," I responded before hanging up and throwing my phone on the passenger seat with my other things.

Feeling all of sudden defeated, I laid my head on the steering wheel, not even bothering to call the day-care right this minute.

I was just tired and frustrated.
