"I SAID FORGET ABOUT FINDING LIA!" He yelled loudly looking at me with cold eyes.
I shrunk back in my seat suddenly wondering, who I was in the car with.
"I'm taking you home," he said after a few climatic moments.
I nodded slowly looking out the window instead of at him.
When he pulled into my driveway, I got out of the car without saying a word.
I walked into my house and greeted my Mom before strolling into my room.
I sat at my desk and shut the door.
Why would Cameron suddenly not want to find Lia?
He seemed like he wanted to before Ms. Sydney talked to him.
I remembered her words;
I think you know why Lia might have gone.
He knows something about Lia that he doesn't want me to know.
But I need to know.
I decided I should risk asking him about it again, and if he doesn't tell me what he knows I'll go to Florida myself.
I sprang from my desk with my master plan and headed out the door.
I called an Uber and drove to Cameron's house.
When it pulled up I hesitantly stepped to the porch and pressed on the doorbell.
He answered the door and gave me a confused look.
"Oh, wasn't expecting to see you here," he told me with a slightly shocked expression.
"Can I come in?" I more demanded than asked, leaving no room for discussion.
He looked around as if looking for a reason to say 'no'.
"Sure," he sighed, "come on in," he stepped away from the door for me to step in.
"Listen, I know you know more about the party then you told me," I interrogated him.
"Er...no I don't. I told you everything," He hesitated.
I looked at him obviously, "Stop lying, Cameron," I seriously told him, not nearly in the mood for his crap.
"I think you should go," he said with a straight face.
"If you don't tell me what you know, I'll go to Florida myself," I told him walking out the door.
"Fine go on ahead," he said slightly more aware.
I wanted to curl up and have this whole problem to be over with.
I want Lia back.
I want Cameron gone.
I started to walk home since my phone died and I couldn't call an Uber.
I heard a door open unexpectedly, I turned around and looked.
Cameron was jogging over to me while throwing on a coat.
"Listen I know you won't be able to go to Florida alone, I'll take you," he said sincerely.
"Why? I thought you didn't want to go?" I challenged him.
"Well you're going to find a way to go one way of another..." he said humorously, "...and I don't want you to get hurt," his words suddenly serious.
