Garroth POV
Life in a forest is boring. Anything you do results in ticks on you and thorns in your clothing. But it's fun not going to school and climbing trees all day. But today it's raining (YAY more rain). But then there's mud. My dad doesn't like mud because I track it into the house. He says that its not sanitary for our health (yeah yeah). I have to find things to do or I will die of boredom. I decide to check on my horse Caster. So I walk out into the rain, and get soaked immediately. It's a two minute walk to Caster's barn. When I get there Caster nibble's my bleach blond hair. I have always found it weird that my hair is a different colors from my dad's. I've never met my mom so I don't know what she looked like exactly. I go back home after I feed Caster. Laurence is waiting for me when I get back.
"We don't have enough food and supplies to last another few weeks," Laurence said.
"Why don't we go out and get some in the local village a few miles away," I said.
"Because it's raining Garroth," Laurence answered.
"But..." I started to say.
"No buts just think of what we need to get later," Laurence said.
"Okay," I said sadly.
