Barry's POV

As I walked away from Kara, I made my way to SCPD. I walked in to see Captain Lance walking around frantically.

"Captain Lance?" I asked

"Oh good you're here. Come this way" He said shoving me down the hallway filled with offices.

"Is everything all right?" I asked

"Yeah. I need to warn you about Laurel.... since Sara's death, she's been acting out of character. Yelling all the time, mainly at hallucinations. And she even has been shouting at someone in her nightmare's. Cursing. My baby girl's never said stuff like that before. I think she might be on a bad case of Vertigo" Captain Lance said shutting the door. From what I remember of when we were in high school, Laurel never had a single drink and refused all the numerous drugs she was offered by the numerous bad-boyfriends she dated over the years.

"I'll look into it." I said.

"Thanks. And about my... other baby girl. Here is the case file." He said as his eyes filled with tears.

"Quentin." I said putting my hand on his shoulder. "Is it okay if I call you Quentin?" I asked realizing what I said. He gave me a blank stare. "We will find whoever did this and have them dealt with. I swear my life on it" I said

"Dont swear your life on anything. 'Cause it very well might make a turn for the worse" he said shaking my hand off his shoulder and walking out.

I decided to go to the crime scene to see if i could pick up any evidence of who had killed Sara. All we knew was that bands of vigilantes were shooting people all across D.C . It was like they had a list and whoever crossed onto the wrong side got three bullets put in them. One in their head. One in their heart and one through their stomach.

The scene was filled with reporters, mourning friends, distant family, and other cops.

"Who are you?" One of the detectives asked me. "You seem familiar" She said

"Barry Allen. I'm the forensic scientist from CCPD who was hired by Captain Lance to take a look on this case" I said walking towards the back of the alley with her.

"Patty Spivot" She said. "I'll see you around"  she walked away.

I looked at the outline of Sara's body. Though I never knew her much, she was always really nice when I was hanging out with Laurel, Oliver and the 'wanna-be our age' Thea. Scanning the walls along the alley way, I managed to find shells of fired bullets and a LOT of dust. Safe to say it made me sneeze. In the back corner of the alley way, right next to a dumpster, I found what looked like a mask.

I picked it up, being careful not to let anyone else see it. It was all black with detailed lines on it. I put it in a baggie and shoved it in my bag. I spent the entire time scanning for other evidence as many people left. Leaving just me and Detective Spivot there in the end.

I was packing up to go home when I noticed something on an old bulletin board on the wall of the club. The club that sara was shot off the roof from.

It was something new on something rotten and old, making it stand out substantially. Unpinning it, I turned it over. It read Kara Danvers and Barry Allen. I kept flipping it in my hands. It was an embossed cream envellope with a burgundy wax seal. Our names had been written in red ink, obviously done by someone with oodles of time on their hands.

"Whatcha' got their CSI" Detective Spivot said coming over.

"OH nothing. Just a note i found from my girlfriend. She left it... in the bottom of my bag" I said making up a quick excuse.

"Barry?!" I heard a voice call out.

"Excuse me, I must be going" I said excusing myself from the crime scene.

"Your bullet shells, Mr Allen?" Detective Spivot said as I walked back to reclaim them.

"Thanks" I said jogging back towards SCPD.

I kept hearing someone call my name but I had no idea where it was coming from.

"BARRY?!" I heard her shout once more. I turned in a circle and found Kara chasing after me. I checked my watch. It was 7:30. I was supposed to be meeting Kara for dinner. Once again, i was late.

"Kara? OH my god i am not dressed for dinner. Can we maybe push it 'till eight" I asked hopefully i would have time to change.

"Good thing i made a reservation for eight. They were booked until 7:30 but said we could stand-by and wait. But i need to talk to you... NOW" She said dragging me down the street. She was strong for a girl her size.

"Kara what is this all about?" I asked. She pulled a letter out of her pocket. The same kind of letter i had.

Her's read, Welcome foolish ones. I see you are adjusting well. The longer you wait, the more you will each suffer. How about this for a starter. Your beloved Mike and Iris, arent who they say to be. You see, you have never questioned why he would leave you alone in times of need. Or why she would always be making buisness trips to Coast City without you? I thought you would be smart enough to piece together the puzzle. But i guess I shall have to do it for you, hmm? Mike and Iris love eachother. Welcome to your own hell. -UknowWHO

I looked at Kara. She looked at me. Kara started to cry and I picked up my phone and called Iris.

"Hey honey... what's up?" Iris picked up

"What are you really doing in Coast City" I asked

"Buisness trip i told you. Nothing to worry about."

"You're hiding something. You are in love with someone else" I said brutally honestly

"Barry..." She said as her voice faded.

"You know what that's it. I think I've met someone else too. You and Mike enjoy yoursleves in Coast City. And dont bother going back to the loft in Central. It's mine. As soon as you are home, you are taking your stuff and moving out. Tell Mike that Kara says the same." I said hanging up.

I immediately started to cry. I didnt even want to bring up my letter. Not today anyways.

"Listen kara, I know i might not be the best dressed, but do you wanna go out for dinner with me. As in a date?" I asked sheepishly

"I would love to Barry" She said wiping her tears away.

3RD PERSON POV

As Kara and Barry turned away, they didnt bother looking around as thier eyes were hooked on eachother. But little did they know that off in the distance, someone was watching. His face becomes more and more worried.

"They should not have met" the voice whispers.
