When we get to the ranch , we we're instantly greeted by my family and they were super nice and sweet like always. They made us feel super comfortable and at home. We saw our dad and uncles in the backyard looking at some stuff while my brother was in the room with my cousins playing some video game. My aunt let me and Rachel take a big room to ourselves since her house is pretty big and she has many rooms. I dragged Rachel outside to walk around the river that was in front of the house. Everything was going well until my brother decided to come up from behind me and scare the living crap out of me " KYLE" I scream turning around and seeing him on the floor laughing "I hate getting scared" I groan and walk away from him, Rachel too had a smirk on her face, okay it was maybe a little funny but I still hate getting super scared. We walk all the way to the farm where, my papa has his animals. I quickly run to Sweetheart and pet her "hey my baby" I coo while kissing her head "baby sweetheart" Rachel says coming up to me and my horse "she's so perfect, jut how I left her" I smile "we should go for a ride" Rachel says getting the equipment for the other horse "that'll be fun" I giggle and grab my equipment for Sweetheart. I haven't rode her since the last time I've been here and that should be around Halloween time. I set everything up and hop on her back. I wait for Rachel to do the same, so we went off to the place I most love, the cliff. Sweetheart was riding so smoothly going up the mountain, some people will say I'm crazy for doing this with a horse like mine, sweetheart can get a little hyper sometimes but I'm the only one who can always control her. My mom almost had a heart attack when she first saw me going up the mountain. I like it here, it's a beautiful place and a distraction from the city, no one here can judge what you wear or how you look since there isn't really anyone here. We stop on top of the mountain and look at all the small houses "I wish I can stay here forever" I smile and just admire the view "same" Rachel says beside me. We just look at the view in silence until it started getting dark out, that when we decided it was time to go. We put the horses back and went back to the house to see everyone outside by the fire taking and laughing. Gosh I love my life and I wouldn't want to change it for the world. This is what family looks like. Me and Rachel go inside to shower and change into something more comfy. It's been a long day and a bath seems about right but sadly my hair isn't going to dry quick so I just take a quick shower and change into my PJs. Rachel meets me in the kitchen serving herself cherrios "I wonder what my mom is feeling right now" she randomly says "maybe she's thinking it was a bad and stupid idea for her to just let you go" I say grabbing a stool and sitting down to eat "I miss her" she says sitting down too, Rachel never cries and if she does nobody sees it, at least no one but me. She had a tear rolling from her cheek "please let's not thing about that right now and let's go have fun" I say grabbing my bowl and and dragging her outside sitting by the fire "thank you" she whispers "always" I whisper back and just sit back while munching on my cereal. Everything is going to be alright.
