A girl had ran off from the park in tears as she sobbed.

Yami's POV
Ah.... I regected another girl. Others might think that I am mean, rejecting all these girls and all, but... I just don't like any of them that way. As I sat on the bench one of my best friends came up to me and sat down "regected another girl I see" the feminine voice spoke. I nodded in agreement "yep" then a sigh left my mouth "why can't these people get that I don't think of them like that?" I questioned. I sometimes hated to be good looking. My best friend then scoffed "then are you waiting for someone?" She asked 'yes I am' I thought to myself. The person I was waiting for is quite obvious.

Skylar's POV
I was walking to the park when all of a sudden I see a girl run out of the park in tears. Yep.... I know what happened. My best friend Yami Motou has rejected another girl. I wonder if he's waiting for someone? But, I want that person to be me. But Yami deserves a WHOLE lot better. I throw back long black hair and fix my black leather with aqua green stripes that went down as I continued to the park seeing Yami on a bench. I sit down beside him and decide to bring up a conversation "rejected another girl I see" I practically joke. Yami just nods in agreement "yep" he says with a sigh in the end "why can't these people know that I don't like them like that" it's obvious that he might be waiting for someone. Better check. "Then are you waiting for someone?" I asked. Yami didn't answer and that gave off the obvious answer of yes. But who I wonder.

I stand up and pull Yami up. He's in such a bad mood today that I decided that it would be best to take him skateboarding. I get our skateboards from his house really quick and we make our way to the skating park "let's see who can do more ramps" I challenged. Yami nodded with a smirk and I new that the game was on. Yami motioned me to go first and I nodded as I get my skateboard on the ground placing my feet on top of it as I gave myself a little push with one foot and down the ramp I go. I use more force the second time causing me to go into the air a bit as I did a turn and skated back to Yami. Yami grinned and pushed off the ramp as he jumped along with the board as he rides on the actual metal stair ramps. During moments like these I appreciate how cool Yami is. I've liked him ever since I moved here, I moved her in Domino City from somewhere overseas so I felt awkward until I met this man here.

Yami came back up the ramp and I smiled "are you testing me?" I teased and Yami's smirk appears "maybe" and then I pushed him while he was still on his skateboard down the ramp while he was still on his board. When I saw him land on the ground on his butt I laughed and rode my way down and past him as I swerved and made my way back to him. I got off of my board and offered Yami my hand "let's get going. It's near sunset" I said. Yami and I gathered our stuff and walked home. We were neighbors too which meant that I saw Yami 24/7! On our way I saw this little puppy in the alleyway near a shining object "go ahead Yami" I told him as he nods. I made my way to the puppy and kneeled down picking up the shiny object when I heard shuffling. My body froze as I felt something pressed on the back of my head "who are you?! Turn around?!" I sighed and did as told. The mystery man gave off a chuckle "you're cute!" I can just feel his eyes searching me and I swear I'm about to get my leather boot and beat the jalapeños out of him.

The man grabbed my wrist and pulled me up. That's it! I grabbed the man's wrist with my free hand and twisted his wrist as I got my trapped hand free and gripped onto the same wrist and I turned away from the puppy and picked up the man's weight, slamming him to the ground. And I think I hear a few pops! I grined and turned around and was about to walk until the man grabbed my ankle and yanked it making me collide with the pavement. AND THAT HURTS! I got my head and turned it glaring at the man that got his gun again and pointed it at me "just come with me and everything will be ok" he said in a slurred voice. I cringed and spat in his face, I saw him about to click the trigger.

"STOP!"

We both turned to the voice and my eyes widened seeing none other than Yami! Hmmm... Based on Yami's facial features- He's pissed. The man pressed the gun at the back if my head "COME ANY CLOSER AND THIS GIRL'S GONNA GET IT!" He shouted- WAIT! Did he just call me a girl? Oh. Hell. Nah. This man is going down. I got the back of my leg and raised it up making it collide with the man's crotch. The man gripped his critch and laid on the ground in pain.

"Never. Ever!! Call me a girl. I'm a teenager ya dumbass!"

I shouted and ran to Yami, the walk to our houses was silent. No one tried to say anything. But I had to say something. I opened my mouth to say something but was interrupted when Yami spoke first.

"You know what would've happened if I didn't make it on time?"

I nodded "I took care of it so it's fine" I said.

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" Yami shouted surprising me. But then I started to get angry and we all know what happens when you get someone like me mad.

"WELL I'M FINE SO I DONT SEE THE FREAKING POINT!"

"YOU COULD HAVE DIED!"

"WELL I DIDN'T!"

"BECAUSE I STOPPED HIM!"

"YOU DISTRACTED HIM!"

"IS THAT ALL I AM? A DISTRACTION?!"

"I DIDN'T EVEN SAY THAT, THAT WAS ALL YOU ARE!"

"THAT'S BASICALLY THE POINT!"

This fight could continue on forever and ever. And by Yami's eyes u could tell he was worried.

"I HEARD THE SLAMS AND RAN AND WHEN I SAW YOU, YOU WERE ON THE GROUND WITH A GUN TO YOUR HEAD!"

"WELL IT'S NOT LIKE ANYONE CARES ABOUT ME ENOUGH TO MISS ME!"

"WELL I WILL!"

"WHY WOULD YOU?!"

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!"

What? He.... Loves me? The Yami Motou.... Loves me?

"What?" I questioned confusingly, "I said that I loved you. The reason why I rejected all those girls is because u wanted to be with you and you only because you are mine."

I felt my heart rate speed up and a cleared my throat "well..... I love you too" I said and when I looked at Yami I saw the most happiest smile he has ever smiled in such a long time as he hugged me close to him and kissed me. You know that feel that those Manga or anime characters get when they like someone? That's what I was feeling man. That's an intense feeling too. But I loved it so much.

I am only yours Yami.
