I stand outside of my house as I patiently wait for the bus. I hated taking it to school everyday, though. The frat kids rode in them, and they are not very nice.
I hate those kids. They always made fun of me for being so smart and prissy. If only they knew how those simple remarks made big impacts on my life.
After fifteen minutes of waiting, the bus stopped infront of me. And as I entered, I quickly spotted the eight frat members lounging in the very back of the bus. I took a seat infront as I tried to avoid them. One of them yelled "Bitch" and that just made my head turn to their direction.
"Hey! You! Scoffman! Come here, right now!" The black-haired one spoke as he motioned for me to sit right beside him.
I ignored them. No way I am sitting next to a monster.
"Scoffman!" he yelled again. This time, the bus driver heard him and signaled for him to shut up.
My face was plastered with a smirk. That would've been so embarassing for him. Especially with
the bus now full.
I glance over to their side to see his reaction. I expected to see an irritated face but no, He was grinning.
Probably because he loves being scolded.
Finally, the bus stops. I step out of the bus and made my way as fast as I can to my class.
As I was walking, I hear that guy call my name again. I started to walk faster, so that they wouldnt catch up to me.
Suddenly, I feel a hand on my left shoulder. His grip was so hard he turned me to his side, making me face him.
"What do you want, Malik?" I snap
"Our leader wanted to talk to you"
"About what?"
"I don't know. He just wanted me to call you" He shrugged.
"Well I don't have time for your little mischief. I've got a class in ten minutes" I said as I started to walk away.
"Wait!" He shouted
"What?"
"Maybe you could come later? We always hang out on the rooftop. Meet us there maybe?" He asked.
"We'll see, badboy" I smirked.
I didnt quite hate it when there is only one of them. Some of them are polite, and some are.. Well disrecpectful.
I hurriedly walked into our building as I realize that I've wasted five minutes of my time. Halfway there, I saw my bestfriend, Chloe. We were going to the same class this morning, so I called for her to come with me quickly.
"What's up Al? In a hurry?" She questioned
"Uh, yeah? Five more minutes till our first class starts!" I said
"Huh? But Geometry doesn't even start for twenty more minutes. Are you sure your watch is right?" She chuckled
"Wait, what?"
"Check your phone bae" she assured
I did check my phone, and yes I've got twenty more minutes to spare.
Typical.
I sighed in relief as I now walked in a steady pace, Chloe tugging along with me. We made our way to my locker. I had to put some of my books in there if I didn't want me to be carrying those all day.
"Al, look. It's Zach. And he's walking over here!" Chloe said, tugging my sweater.
You see, Zach is Chloe's boyfriend. You could consider him as one of those pretty hunks in our school. Chloe is very lucky to have him. He is one of the best boyfriends you could get.
He was walking to our direction. And he was holding something behind his back. As he approached Chloe, she quickly pulled him into a deep kiss.
They started making out vigorously, definitely forgetting that I was here.
"Ahem" I cleared my throat
"Oops. Sorry Al I forgot that you were there" she pulled away blushing shyly.
"It's ok. I have to go anyway. Class starts in five" I managed to put on a small smile
"Oh um, don't you want to walk with us?" Zach said
"It's okay, I don't want to ruin your bonding" I said.
"Okay then. I'll see you there!" Chloe said as she waved goodbye
-
I walked to class alone which didn't really seem to bother me. Sometimes I just really need a break from Chloe. I mean, I love her and all but that doesn't mean I can't get tired of her.
The professor soon came in, which startled me out of my thoughts. As he greeted the class 'good morning' he quickly made us do an activity.
Then I remember once again. I have to meet with the leader of the frat.
Oh Lord.
