Lost

Chapter three.

Finally, the day is over. It's time to get out of school. Me, Chloe and Zach made our way to the parking lot where Chloe parked her car. I like riding in her car, it's always a great alternative to riding the bus. Plus, it's cleaner and less crowded, unlike the bus.

"Al, are you free later on?" Chloe asks

"Erm, yeah. Why?"

"We're going to get froyo in a bit. Want to come?" She invites.

"Yeah, sure. But our curfew is at seven p.m.. So you've got to take me back at my dorm at around six-forty?" I reassure

"That's cool with me. Now c'mon. We're wasting daylight!" Chloe exclaims as she hoped into the driver's seat.

The Frozen Yogurt place isn't that far from our campus. It only takes less than five minutes to get there.

Once we arrive at the place, I get in first to order for them while they fix things in the car or who knows what they're up to? I mean, they're together right?

After ordering froyos for the both of them, I see them enter the front door of the store, Chloe chuckling as Zach leaned over to whisper something.

"What took you guys so long?" I smile

"Oh you know, car stuff" Chloe giggled, lightly elbowing Zach at his stomach.

"Hmm. I see. Well, here are your froyos." I said as I hand the cups of frozen yogurt to them.

"Thanks" Chloe mumbled

"Oh uhm Al, were throwing a small party in my dorm on Friday. Well not so much of a party but like, a get together. Oh and youre invited" Zach said, looking over to Chloe

"I'm not sure if I could come. Exams are on Monday and I have to study" I said

"Oh. Bummer. We were gonna do something new" Zach sighed

"Would you atleast re-consider it Al?" Chloe asks

"Hey, I didn't say that I wasnt coming. I'm just not that sure if I could go"

"Oh. Well it's only gonna be a small party slash gathering anyway. I hope you could come though." Chloe said

"Who's gonna be there anyway?" I ask, taking a spoonful of frozen yogurt.

"Me, Zach, a couple of frat kids" Chloe said

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Frat kids are going to be there?" I choked

"Yeah. Maybe three of them will be there" Zach said

"And who are those three?" I gulped

"Zayn, Liam and Harry will be there. They already informed me last Monday." She said as she finished her froyo

"I'm not going then. There is no way I'm getting into a room with those lunatics" I threw my hands up in the air

"But you're gonna enter their frat anyway. You told me awhile ago remember?" She said

I did remember that I was gonna change for them. But I wasn't sure about it. I'm not gonna risk this whole semester just for that little offer. I sigh at the thought of all the things that could be ruined.

"Ugh. I was planning to avoid them for two weeks" I said, sighing

"They won't bother you, I promise" Zach offered me a smile, his dimples showing up

"You couldn't be sure about that. Once they see me they would literally just come up to me" I explained.

"But could you atleast come for like, just thirty minutes? I was looking forward to spending time with you on Friday" Chloe pleaded

"I'll still think about it though." I said as I took a really big spoonful of froyo

"Ow ow ow" I said as I felt a sharp pain coming from my head. I haven't experienced this kind of pain before, brain freeze maybe?

I closed my eyes, hoping the pain would stop. I opened them and took a look at Chloe. She had a curious yet concerned look on her face.

"Are you alright Al?" She said as she hooked her arms around my shoulder

"Yeah. Just a little brain freeze" I forced a small smile, making sure that they could see that I'm okay

"Drink some water. It'll help" Zach said handing me a glass of water.

"Thanks" I muttered, grabbing ahold of the glass. The water really made an impact, my head ache is gone and soon I felt normal again.

"Better?" Chloe asks, smiling

I nodded in response. Once we all finish our frozen yogurts, we stayed a little to chat a little more.

"So about the party.. Are you sure you're not gonna come?" Chloe said, fiddling with her fingertips

"I already told you that I wasn't still sure. But I think I'll end up coming though." I managed to put on a weak smile

"Oh okay. That's a relief." Chloe grinned at me

"Well it's already six-thirty. I'll be going now." I said as a I stood up and took my bag from under the table.

Before I could exit the place, I felt Chloe's hands grip my wrists. "Wait, Al. Where are you going?" She questioned me.

"Back to the dorms. Where else would I go?" I said trying as much as possible to sound like I'm not mad.

"Oh," she said, letting go of my hand "You could ride with us you know." Chloe smiled.

"Oh dear no. I already owe you one." I chuckled.

"C'mon Al. I'm your bestfriend. Besides, were going to the same place, arent we?" Chloe said.

"I guess so." I shrugged as we both wait for Zach to follow us through the door.

"Ready to go, girls?" Zach smirked, Chloe and I laughing at the term he called us.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go" Chloe said as she exited the small store.

Once we get back to their car, I enter first, Chloe follows after pecking Zach's lips.

"I'm tired. I deserve a massage." Chloe let out a sigh, resting her back at the seat.

"I could give you one, even more if you want." Zach teasingly said.

"Oh shut up!" Chloe flushed as she buckled her seatbelt.

"Guys, I'm here remember?" I leaned at the middle of the two seats infront.

"Let's just go. I'm tired too." Zach said.

"Same here." I sighed, closing my eyes.
