Once they had arrived at the Sheriff's station, Stiles was told to sit on the bench outside his dad's office. Seeing the looks all of the other officers were giving him, he became more nervous than ever. His hands and face were covered in sweat as he chewed on his lip in worry until it bled a little.

His dad and another officer (who he could remember to be Parrish) had gone into the office and shut the door behind them. However, he could still hear them talking, only small fragments of the conversation, but it was enough.

"You can't just bring him back and pretend like nothing has happened!" Parrish was yelling at his dad.
"Why the bloody hell not? He's my son and he's back and safe so there's nothing to worry about!" He heard his dad reply angrily.
"You know why not Sheriff. The boy's been missing for quite a while. He can't just suddenly be back like this. What we have gathered, it looks like a kidnapping. All these kids just happened to have Stiles for two whole years with no contact with the outside world. Does that not sound crazy to you?"

They must have realised how loud they were being because after that, they both closed to a whisper. Stiles realised that he wouldn't get the simple welcome back. People would ask alot of questions but he wouldn't be able to give any answers. He decided that he had made a mistake so he got up and headed to the door and had already began planning his friends' escape.

"Where you going son?" a man behind him said. Even though he said the word "son", Stiles knew that it wasn't his dad. However, he didn't really recognise the voice so he turned around to see who it was. Shocked, he saw Scott's father strolling towards him. "Heard you were back. God, everyone was so worried about you!" He spoke not sounding at all genuinely truthful about being "worried".

"Yeah, I guess, thanks" Stiles said, trying to hide the fact that he didn't really wanting to talk to Scott's dad. "Um, I was just going to the toilet so if you don't mind..." He glanced at him, hoping he would buy it. He noticed how much he'd been lying recently: surely he'd be good at it by now.

"Toilets are that way, Stiles. Where are you actually going?" He replied knowing he had lied. He sat down in the chair beside him and signalled for Stiles to sit down too. However, he didn't move.

"Oh right yeah, the toilets are that way. Completely forgot, desperate to go, talk soon." Stiles rushed off in the opposite direction before he could get a reply. Scott's dad curiously watched him leave, confused about Stiles's strange return.

Once Stiles got into the bathroom, he locked himself in the furthest cubicle, hoping that he hadn't been followed. He had to get away, he had made a big mistake thinking he could just come back. However, how would he leave without being spotted, his father and Parrish would probably have already finished their argument, not to mention Scott's dad snooping around just outside. Plus, he had to help all the others to get out of the station.

Stiles scanned the room, hoping he would spot a way out through the bathroom, maybe an escape route, a fire exit, anything to get out of there. Bingo. He noticed the window was open and seems as Stiles was extremely skinny for his age, there would be no problem getting out.

After a few tries, he managed to get up on the window ledge and crawled out the small gap. Now he had no idea how he'd get to Newt and the others. Hopefully, his memory would serve him well because from what he could remember Stiles was pretty smart.

Once he'd made his way round the building without getting caught, he found a small window that his friends could get out of. He remembered it from when his dad locked him in a cell as a joke and he had to find his own way out. Lucky for him, it was still there.

Around ten minutes later everybody was out apart from Winston, who was too short to jump for the ledge and couldn't climb the wall.

Loud voices could be heard from the corridor and they realised they didn't have much time. Stiles thought up some ideas until he jumped up to the ledge climbed in and pulled the heavy Winston up and through that window. Just in time.
