It's a Sunday night.
Scott loves Sunday nights, because he usually gets to spend them with Mitch.

They just hang out and watch movies and chat and sometimes drink a little, maybe even a little too much.

It's a good time to bond and get even closer than they already are. Scott and Mitch are best friends, well, the best of friends, but Scott can't seem to shake the feeling that he might actually love the other man.

He doesn't let this feeling settle in though. It doesn't matter anyways. Mitch is cute and the best person he knows and Scott doesn't want to mess that up.

The two have been sitting on Mitchs bed for a while know, trying to film a superfruit episode. They didn't want to wait until Tuesday to film it, they wanted to be able to upload early this week.

And to be honest, they were having fun. The video wasn't planned at all, so they just ended up talking about whatever come to their mind, hoping it would turn out to be at least somewhat useful.

Everything was going well, they were funny and super excited and at this point they had probably sung one too many songs than necessary. But all that stopped when the lights went out all of the sudden.

This wasn't the first time that the power went off in their LA apartment, but they still hated it.

Especially Mitch. He was so afraid of the dark. It makes him scared and anxious and paranoid and he usually starts panicking right away.

That's what was happening now, too.

"Scott, are you still here?" the younger man asks, fear echoing in his voice. He knew it was a dumb question, Scott couldn't have disappeared in a few seconds. But he asks anyways.

Scott carefully turns to his left, towards Mitch and speaks up softly in order not to scare the brunette. "I'm right here, don't worry. It will be okay, I'll just take your hand so I don't lose you and we'll lay down and cuddle." Mitch doesn't know what exactly about the others words made him feel calmer, but he is glad that they do.

Scott reaches out his hand and tries to find Mitch's, not taking long before linking their fingers together. He slightly pulls on the others hand to gesture him to lay down comfortably.

And Mitch does exactly that. The crawls over to what seems like it could be the middle of the bed and lays down on his side. Scott knows immediately what to do. He crawls over as well and lays down right next to Mitch, completing the spooning concept by wrapping his arm around the brunette and cuddling onto him.

"Are you okay?" The blonde asks. Mitch is breathing heavily, which is definitely worrying him. He wants to avoid an anxiety attack as best as he can. "It's okay, I'm okay, I just need to calm down." Mitch answers. His voice is quiet and raspy and he's whispering more than talking, but he doesn't care. He just needs to get through this.

They lay there for a while, Scott reminding the other one that everything will be fine and that he doesn't need to worry every now and then. To Mitch it feels like it's been hours, while in reality they've only made it through 30 minutes.

Scott wanted to find his phone to turn on the flashlight so there at least would be a little bit of light, but he decides against it.

For one, because he doesn't want to leave Mitch and for two, because he thinks that the shadows from the tiny bit of light might freak out the younger one even more.

Scott notices how Mitch is getting calmer. He's breathing more evenly and he's not as tense anymore.

"Mitchie?" Mitch hums in respond, relieved that Scott is talking again. "Do you think you can fall asleep? The lights will be back when you wake up and you won't even notice any of this."

Scott knows that that would be the best possible option. Mitch wouldn't have to deal with his fear and the burning anxiety and could just live in his little dreamworld. But he also knows that for Mitch falling asleep was hard when he was surrounded by complete darkness.

"I'll try." That's the only thing the brunette says before moving back a little, cuddling him self as close to Scott as he possibly can. He feels save under the blondes embrace. Scott aknowledges that and wraps his arm around Mitch even thighter than before.

They don't have a blanket to cover them and neither of them woul be able to move to get one either, but just their body heat would be enough to keep them warm throughout the night.

Scott just lays there for a while, holding onto Mitch as if his life depended on it. He is worried that Mitch wouldn't fall asleep. And that's when he remembers something.

He takes a deep breath and starts humming the melody of one of their songs. Mitch couldn't help but smile when he heard that.

It's 'Light in the Hallway', and even though he admired Avi everytime he sang that song, nobody could beat Scott for him.

Mitch lets himself escape in the melody completely, instantly forgetting about all of his worries.

And to his own surprise, he didn't even make it to the end of the song before he drifted into a deep sleep.

And when Scott noticed, he kissed the back of the brunettes head before letting himself fall asleep too.
