Victoria eyes watered as she heard the words she didn't want to hear as if her heart shattered she dropped the phone as her chest got tight,her breath stopped in the back of her throat.

Hoping to clear the lump out her throat she swallowed before sitting indian style "you have cancer?!" She yelled out not wanting to believe it she shook her head as her mom tried to explain.

"I don't wanna hear that bullshit! I already go through shit at school,I'm fucking 16 caring for two little ass kids while getting abused by my fucking father! And now here you come when you only have-" then it hit her there had to be a reason that she told Victoria and that only reason could be that she was starting to die.

"How long do you have?" Victoria asked with venom laced throughout her tone she didn't mean to speak harshly but she was hurting "Victoria jus-" she shook her head "Answer the Question!" she yelled by now she couldn't hide the pain that she felt it was evident all on her face as her mother broke down.

"I-i Have 3 months" the words that left her mouth instantly made Victoria jump up as she rushed out her room towards the stairs "Victoria! Please" her mom cries filled the house as she rushed out the door only to bump into a hard chest.

"Woah woah is you okay?" August asked as he held her still by her arms he stared into her eyes as her orbs darted around the room trying to hold back noticeable tears, finally what seemed like years she finally spoke"No im not okay" she broke down into his arms not caring if she seemed weak.

Taken back by the tears he stood there speechless,it was obvious he didn't know what to do or say so he awkwardly wrapped his arms around her,pulling her into a well needed hug.
