Chapter 1

I drag the hairbrush through my hair a couple more times then place the brush back onto the counter. I sigh and look at my long brown hair.
I hear my phone vibrate on the table and reach for it.

Jessica

I ignore the call and continue to try and look at least a little descent.
After i look acceptable enough, I grab my remote and click on netflix.

About halfway into Super Bad I hear a loud banging on my door. I jump up caught off guard. I stand and make my way for the door. When i completely open the door, Jessica stands there with her hands on her hips.
I stare right at her then quickly try to force the door shut on her. She pushes and tries to keep it from closing. "OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" she says while grunting. "No!" I yell and push with more force. "THATS IT!" she yells and in about two seconds im flying from the door to the floor and the door swings open. She looks down at me panting. "Youre... gonna... go.. out.. its your.. birthday."
I look at her and groan.
"I dont want to."
"Just please just this one night have a little fun! youre turning twenty one for crying out loud!"
I look at the ground and think. "..fine."
She jumps up and down squealing.
"LETS GET YOU DRESSED!"

After a couple of hours i look descent enough to walk out of my house.
"COME ON!! WERE GONNA BE LATE! The girls said they'd wait for us there."
I looked at her confused.
"Wait for us where?"
"At the club" I roll my eyes. "Fine."

Time skip

Jessica pulls into a parking space at the club
I open my door and walk out of the car.

After a while i just sit at a empty table fidgeting with my shot glass.
After being so focused on the glass, i see a tall dark skinny figure walk over to me. He sits at the table and smiles.
"sup.. Erin is it?"
I smile and nod.
"Believe so." I say and look around the room.
"Whats your name?" I ask. He stares at me for a second then smiles and says. "Calvin, Calvin Vail."
He says and sighs.
I sit staring at him with my eyes and mouth open in shock.

FLASHBACK TO THE THIRD GRADE.

I sit at my desk focused on the math problems Mrs. Mcgeehee assigned to us.
I stay stuck in problem six when i hear snickering behind me.
I roll my eyes. After solving problem six i sigh and when im just about to move on to the next problem i hear a faint "Snip" i turn my head back to see Calvin snickering at me with scissors in his right hand and my brown hair in his left. I gasp and grab a crayon but he runs out before i could launch it at his rotten face.

BACK TO CURRENT TIME.

He notices my facial expression and he suddenly looks worried.
"Im sorry did i say something wrong?"
He looks around me then back at me.
"Okay come on lets get you out of here."
He says and reaches for my hand.
I slowly move my hand out of his reach and glare at him.
He looks at me confused.
".....Problem?"
I click my tongue.
"Hmm.. You dont remember me?"
I ask him he slowly shakes his head.
"You gave me a free unwanted hair cut in the third grade."
He sits back and smiles when he realises who i am.
"Oh... its you..little Nicole."
