"Jongdae!" He screamed, as he saw the skinny figure on the roof of the house. His arms were spread wide before, he was going to fall, but his arms faultered when Chanyeol had called out.

"Dae, don't," it was like a cold hand was sqeazing his heart with fear. "Dae, please don't." It was a plea, a last request. Imagine seeing the only person you cared about to jump to their death. Chanyeol's head was spinning, how did it get to this point? But he knew, he read Jongdae's words, and they hurt him more than if they were his own. He knew the boy on the roof for years, they were friends. The small shape of Jongdae was endearing to him, his hazel eyes and know-it-all smirk, he loved Dae's smart remarks and sarcasm; the way he would spit when he laughed a lot.

"Chanyeol, go home!" Dae's voice was shaky, he was scared and definetly crying. Chanyeol knew the way his voice would shake when he cried.

"I'm not going to go any where!" He shouted. "Jongdae, I'm in love with you!" It was like the world had just stopped intirly. It was like that feeling when you realize that you are alseep and dreaming; it starts to fall apart.

"No, you're fucking not, Chanyeol!" Jongdae screeched. "You have a boyfriend!"

"I don't love him!" He yelled. Chanyeol was a coward. He had the stupid idea of dating Zhang Yixing to get Jongdae's attention. He knew Dae was differnt than most people but he wanted him to get jealous and to tell Chanyeol everything that he couldn't. It hurt him to see that the other didn't care, and to not even acknowledge it. But now that he knew better, he couldn't hate himself more.

"You're saying that!" Jongdae's voice shook more, he was angry and more emotional now. Chanyeol could see him move closer to the edge. "You read it, and now you're lying to me so I won't jump."

"Kim Jongdae, listen to me now!" Chanyeol yelled, it hurt. "I fell in love with you so quickly. When we were late to class together, and then we starting to do that every day. The first day I met you and you corrected Mr Namjoon, I thought you were so cool! Like, Dae, seriously, we should be getting way worse for giving that guy so many problems!" He laughed a bit but talking about it made tears fall quicker, and the lump in his throat made it hard to speak. "The day I found you in the bathroom I hated myself for not being there the whole time, I wish I could have held you and told everything was going to be ok. You should never have to go through that, especially alone." The more he talked the more Chanyeol became panicked realizing that in a second Dae could be dead and completely out of his life. "You were wrong!" He blurted, there was a pause.

"What are you talking about!?" Jongdae yelled, he was listening, that was a good sign.

"You said that I never noticed that you almost cried when I said you were too cool for everyone to sit with; I did notice! And I had to stop myself from asking you what was wrong because I didn't want you to tell me to go! I wanted to be with you every second, Dae! And I hate that I've been a horrible friend and that I hurt you so badly, but let me make it up to you! I'll do anything, just please, come down here and let me show you that we're- us, are worth living for!" He saw Jongdae move, and he screamed. Dae was gone. He ran and called out for him, not at all prepared for any of this to happen. Then he saw him, he felt his whole body ache. Jongdae stood a small distance away from him, he could see that outline of the boy and the shine of his pale skin that was wet with tears. He closed the distance between them when he ran and hugged Jongdae. Their bodies fit together as they held onto each other crying. The faint sound of police cars were heard coming towards their street. Chanyeol picked Jongdae up making the other wrap his slim legs around the taller's torso. Chanyeol carefully held him up with one arm as he used his free hand to hold Jongdae's head, slowly guiding him down to where their lips met for the first time. And the world fell back into place.
