I wake up with orange eyelids and a weight on my stomach.
I huff and open my eyes to instantly be blinded by the sun streaming through the window with its curtains pulled back.
There goes my sleeping in.
I look down at my bare stomach to see Blake's arm draped loosely across it.
My eyes shift to his face and I smile to myself as I watch him sleep, his breathing slow and steady.
He's so perfect, how did I get so lucky? (a/n- you were kidnapped babes xx)
As if on cue, his eyes slowly flutter open and look into mine.
"Watching me sleep?" He chuckles slightly.
"Yeah, I was." I admit shamelessly.
"Damn, look at you all in denial and shit." He sarcastically mutters and laughs.
I giggle softly before I peck his lips quickly, not letting them linger because ew, morning breath.
"Good morning." I smile.
"Morning." He grins back at me.
I push myself up and swing my legs off the bed and onto the soft carpet before I let out a groan as pain shoots through my lower region.
"Sore?" Blake smirks at me as he wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me back into bed.
"Very." I admit.
"Good, now I have an excuse to keep you in bed all day." Blake says, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
I roll my eyes,
"Seriously? I thought you were a morning person Blake." I eye him suspiciously, narrowing my eyes at him.
He blinks at me before nodding.
"Yeah, I'm just tired after last night." He winks.
"Okay..." I trail off.
I snuggle closer and slip my hand into his, playing with his fingers.
That's when I notice something off.
"Blake." I quietly speak.
"Hmm?" He answers with his eyes still shut.
"Where's your ring at?" I demand.
His eyes fly open and he examines his hand.
"Oh fuck, I left it at the office." He curses.
"Why would you take it off in the first place?" I ask, trying to not let annoyance seep into my voice.
"Because, the son of one of my clients brought me a painting that he made, it still had wet paint and I didn't wanna get any paint on the ring." He answers without hesitance.
I shrug, still unconvinced.
"Sure, okay."
Then I shut my eyes and go back to sleep, pushing away the warning bells going of in my head.
