Well........

Mia looked down at the receiver for a moment before putting it down. She thought about how her mother's advice was kind of helpful. Talking to her friends about the reunion kind of released some of the tension and that weird uncomfortable feeling in her stomach had evaporated after her pals promised to stay by her during the whole function.

Even though she tried to tell herself that her fears were because of the experiences she had during high school life, she knew that this wasn't at all the case.

She had braved through the social boycotts and name-calling, she could care less about meeting those siren-like ruffians who managed to make even those boys who were her friends to ignore and tease her. Hell, she wasn't fazed at all at the boys doing so. She had better (brains and brawn-wise) guy-friends who at least had a spine to resist the charms of those things who were mentally hags.

The reason that she was so against the idea of going was.... well.... because, how do I say this?

She searched for an answer to the question in her head. Shocked at finding her mind had gone blank, she unknowingly picked up the invite and read through it again. Then, it struck her. The answer, I mean.
