"Ugh" I reach over and slam my hand on my alarm clock. 6:00 it reads. I roll out of bed groggy ass hell and step into my slippers. I proceed to make my bed then walk over to my dresser to find something to wear for the day. First day of school so I thought I'd go with something cute but comfy.
"Daka are you up sweetie," I hear my mama yell from outside my door. "Yea mama just looking for something to wear,". "Okay well I'm gonna go start breakfast see you in a min," she says while walking away.
Oh yea I never introduced myself I'm Dakarai Arnolds or Daka as you just heard my mama say. I know what you're thinking what the hell does Dakarai mean lol. Well don't be coming for my name but to be honest I can't remember I know It's African I just can't remember the meaning. Anyways back to what I'm wearing I pull out a cute blue dress, a jean jacket, and wedge sandals since it was still pretty warm in Michigan. This will do. I then grab my towel and hygienic items and walk into my bathroom connected to my room. I turned on the shower so it could be getting hot then started to brush my teeth and wash my face. Once I felt the water was to my liking, I shed my sleepers and got in. I stayed in for about fifteen minutes then got out. I dried off, buttered my skin in coco butter, and got dressed. I decided to beat my face just a little bit so I went with a pretty light natural look but I just substituted the lashes with mascara and threw on some nude gloss. I was about to walk out my room but felt on top of my head and still felt the damn bonnet. I walked back to my mirror and took my hair out the bonnet and ran my fingers through my 30 inches of curls i had put in the night before. Once I was satisfied with my look I slipped on my sandals, sprayed some smell goods, grabbed my bag and proceeded downstairs.
