I ran my fingers through his dark hair as my mouth moved at the same speed as his did. The kiss was...nice, in a way it was different, the guys I've kissed, I've known for a good amount of time, I just met Derek no more than five minutes ago and here we were exchanging saliva.
In all honesty, I probably would have kept kissing him if someone hadn't cleared their throat. I pulled away and turned my attention to the annoying human being.
"Sorry to interrupt," Jace said looking a bit uncomfortable. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked me.
I rolled my eyes before hoping off the counter, I was about to walk away before Derek pulled me back into his chest.
"Sorry, but that kiss was far too good to let you just walk away without asking for your number." He said to me in a low tone. i couldn't help but blush once again, I could see Jace rolling his eyes from the corner of my eye, but I didn't care.
I smiled and he handed me his phone so I can put my number inside. I typed it in and handed it back to me before planting a kiss on his cheek, which, might I add, was pretty darn near his mouth. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I Anastasia Lopez, am capable of being smooth.
I left Derek there, with a cheeky smile on his face when I walked away with Jace to the backyard. You can only imagine how quickly my mushy and giddy mood changed within the millisecond.
"What.Do.You.Want?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Oh nothing. I was just sparing you from making a big mistake was all." Jace answered with a smug look on his face. I could of sworn that my hand wrapped around his neck and choked him half to death, but of course that was only my vivid imagination.
"You mean to tell me, that you interrupted me from hooking up with that guy because you thought you were sparing me from making a mistake? Are you serious?" I questioned with all the many hand gestures that you could imagine.
"Exactly." He replied.
I couldn't even insult his stupidity right now, I was completely baffled at the moment. Words couldn't describe the hatred and anger I had towards him at that very moment. I opened my mouth to say something, but decided to hold it back and be the bigger person and turn my heels and walk away from the idiotic buffoon.
I could hear him chuckle behind me as I walked in the kitchen, of course Derek wasn't there anymore, why would her be? It wasn't like I expected him to wait for me, I was stupid for thinking that what Jace had to tell me was time absorbing important.
I stormed off to my room from the empty kitchen, not caring that there was a party in my living room, I was not in the mood for partying any longer, I just wanted to get out of this skimpy dress and go to bed.
I was almost at peace until I saw a couple making out on my bed. "Ew," I mumbled under my breath. "Out! Get out!" I demanded.
They immediately shot out of my room and I closed the door behind them, I took of the stripper dress my aunt had so dearly given me, and put on my pajama shorts and tank top. I plopped on my bed and started playing back every moment from this night. Starting with Zoe and Amber tramping me up, ending with the time wasting conversation with Jace. I rolled my eyes and got under my covers, the only thing that brought a smile to my lips was the thought of Dereks lips on mine. Oh, what a memory that would be.
A knock on my door instantly snapped me back in reality, it was probably Zoe and/or Amber coming to see why I left the party so early. But what if it was Derek? Maybe he saw me coming upstairs and decided to follow to continue our previous interaction. Well, if I wanted to know I was going to have to let the mystery person open the door.
