Rwby: Yang and Ruby Volume 1

Peanut Allergy

When Ruby was two Taiyang and Qrow we're very busy but they still had time to make lunch for Ruby and Yang. One day Taiyang made Ruby and Yang peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which meant it was the first time Ruby ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. At lunchtime Yang went to go wake up Ruby from her nap. Ruby climbed up onto her chair and Yang gave Ruby her lunch which was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with no crust, applesauce, and a chocolate chip cookie. Ruby loves cookies. Yang and Ruby then began to eat their sandwiches. Ruby took a few bites out of her sandwich and started coughing Yang wasn't overly worried because she just thought she ate a little too fast. Taiyang came inside the house about 10 minutes after Ruby started coughing and Yang heard him come in and ran to him.

Yang: Daddy Ruby's coughing really bad. I don't know what to do.

Taiyang then rushed into the kitchen where his youngest daughter was coughing and gasping for air and he knew right away that she was having an allergic reaction. Qrow came into the house and Taiyang told him to call 911 and tell them that a little girl is having an allergic reaction. Later an ambulance came to the house and everyone got into the ambulance. Yang was worried the whole way to the hospital as she tightly hugged her father thinking that she was a terrible older sister. 3 hours later The doctor told Taiyang that Ruby has a mild allergy to peanuts now but she will be ok but they want to keep in the hospital overnight just to be sure. The doctor agreed to let Yang go in and see Ruby. Before Taiyang, Qrow, and Yang returned home the doctor gave the 2 men both an epi pen for when Ruby has another allergic reaction to peanuts.
