my body awakens to the smell of eggs and bacon, the empty bowels of my stomach growled in protest. prying my eyes open, i see that there's an empty spot beside me in all of my disheveled silk sheets. i find my lips twitching in satisfaction to know what's happened in my bathroom with the hero cooking downstairs. my god he is such a gentlemen! protects, pleasures, cooks... what can't he do?

oh right, escape this prison. i slightly frown at my unforgiving thoughts to our captivity inside this beautiful building. i freshen up in my bathroom, throwing on a black silk robe, i make my downstairs to see a familiar back.

"good morning, you seem energetic."

he turns around to face me, his face happily ablaze. my heart grows at the sight, what a lovely sight to see. he turns off my stove, pushing the leftover pieces of cooked bacon on a plate.

"well, i got to spend the night with you. who wouldn't be?"

i feel my cheeks warm with his words, strolling past the counter. he doesn't break eye contact with me, i gently place my hand on his solid chest. he holds onto it, kissing my fingers, oh my.

"i have work to attend to in about half an hour, let's have a test run?"

he glances at the door, while i feel my mood drop. letting him go, my body immediately misses the warmth he brings to me. i lightly laugh.

"you can sure as hell try, mendes."

his big smile gives away his cockiness in a way i've never seen before, my mind wanders to our future together. if there even is one, zelly. you never know, you're locked in this mansion with him. you can drive him insane, depending on when you, yourself lose sanity. sighing, he walks to the door opening it wide, revealing the beautiful scenery.

slowly, but surely he reaches his hand through the door. his arm going straight through like there was nothing there, my eyes go wide.

"shawn,"

i breathe out, he looks at me with widened eyes. i quickly grab his hand, feeling electricity flow through my body. it wasn't painful, just shocking—literally. smiling wide, i push him through entirely. he holds onto my hand tightly, dragging me through the door.

my mind began filling with memories, all so suddenly, my knees go weak as more and more of my life was being revealed right before my eyes. shawn holds me, helping me stay up, i look down my steps. seeing a black shadow, the hair on my arms had risen. a bad feeling from what i've seen, the memories had stopped. it was because i had seen the dark figure, our sky had turned dark gray.

shawn looked down to me, i try to make out who the figure was behind us. he let me go, turning around, still holding my hand. the shadow looked like a woman, but i couldn't see past the darkness she had displayed. until she took a hard step forward. her step had made a crack into the ground, reaching right at the edge of our house's steps.

i jump in fright, shawn squeezed my hand gently reassuring me that he was here. i sigh, relaxing slightly at the familiar feeling he brings of comfort. my mind pounded, she seemed like something i've seen in my memories.

"what do you want?"

shawn's voice boomed in protectiveness. the shadow hadn't moved since she made the large crack in the ground. another step, she could possibly tear this house down. and god knows if it takes me along with it, i place my hand on shawn's back. his body easing by my touch, he looks at me in concern. i nod, smiling gently at him, he moves out of my way.

"who are you?"

the figure lightened up, so damn close to seeing her face! her long black curly hair had messily fallen in front of her face. blocking the truth to my memory. there's a hint of an evil smirk that played at her pale lips. my body shook in fear and realization, as she cracked her neck back so far it was as if she was being exorcised.

her neck cracked back, her long hair flying back. i see her eyes glowing a bright red, reminding me who she really was.
