The cool breeze gave Aurelia's skin a blissful numbness. Her hair flew back freely behind her, and the 5 moons shone brilliantly in the sky. It was times like this when Aurelia felt there was no better feeling in the world than being an assassin. Being free and without laws or kings.

She felt her feet jolted with impact as she landed on each branch. She was like an animal flying freely from tree to tree. It being such a beautiful night Aurelia couldn't help but to question why the people of the Prostateftiká Empire would choose tonight to execute one of their own.

A priestesses daughter was set to be executed tonight. Not that this was any of Aurelia's business but she couldn't help but ponder. She stopped and peered through the leaves to see the girl being led down a path. The path seemed to lead from some sort of prison to the execution platform. A few guards followed her seeming to urge her on with their spears towards the bright light of the village square in the distance.

Aurelia pulled herself up and shook her head. It shouldn't concern her what these people do to their own for things so trivial. What kind of crime was homosexuality to be punished by death. As she continued on her way she sensed someone nearing her, also seeming to be traveling by tree.

She jerked her head to the side and met eyes with Aiden. A fellow assassin for the Umbra Guild of Grahan. It was an unbelievable relief to see the face of an ally.

"Hey Hey Ai Ai!" She shouted stopping on a large branch. "I almost though one of those Prostateftiká freaks evolved!"

He landed on the branch next to her, the ruby on his sheath glinting a blood red in the moonlight.

"Yea. I got done with my assignment in Sajaana. The Kabeele Neta assigned me to come out here and help with this. The bulk of the guild is out here." He explained in his Varsha Gled accent. He brushed over his ruby as if to make sure it was still there holding his precious cargo.

"You haven't let him out yet?" Aurelia asked staring down at the red stone.

"Didn't really have the time. Had to get here as fast as possible." He once again brushed it gently.

"Whatever. We better get going. There is no way we could live down screwing up the timing of this mission. It's the biggest the guild has gotten in a long while." She prompted jumping to the next tree.

They continued their conversation now filled with heavy breaths due to the labor of going through the trees and trying to keep speaking.

"So what's this mission all about? I know what we're doing I just can't really understand why." He said taking a deep breath immediately after.

"I don't exactly know. Some person had a lot of money and needed something done. We tend not to ask questions." She flew to the next branch. After that conversation ceased as they neared area where their peers would be, and they couldn't really speak anyway.

They neared the site and Aurelia noticed as their fellows appeared around them, everyone heading to the same place. She could hear the voices of the Einai Polloi as they got into the immediate range. All of the assassin seemed to be silent, not even their breathing could be heard as they crouched down and listened in.
