IMPRINT IV
Caleb's POV
"A human..?" I murmured. "That explains it" I continued. That explains everything. She's not able to sense me because she's a mortal. That's why her scent was on and off. But then I thought, is it possible for our kind to imprint on a human? How could this happen? Thousands of questions began running through my mind. "Where is she?" I demanded an answer.
Amber was still stunt that she couldn't even talk. Blaez and a few others were on guard just in case I started shifting and attack her.
"Caleb" He called out. I turned to him and glared. I could still feel the anger inside of me.
He whispered "You [WU1] have to calm down. Humans are around this place and they are staring at us now.”
Hearing him telling me what to do was making me more furious. "DON’T YOU TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" I growled. "WHERE IS SHE?!" I continued with Amber. I smashed the glass door with my fist, threatening her if she didn't speak. The pieces of glass shattered on the floor before her. I clenched my fist, waiting for an answer. I was getting impatient.
Some people ran out, when they saw what happened. Living only all the packs in the house. Soon, I felt a strong aura getting close by.
Suddenly, two people came barging into the door. Oh, shit, I thought. I saw my mum, crossing her arms, staring at me like I was a kid who bullied kids at school and another, my dad, who was glaring at me from head to toe.
The packs bowed down at the presence of them. Both of them walked towards me. My dad stopped and stood right in front of me, looking down to my eyes, expecting me to bow down to him. I looked away, and met my mother's eyes. She raised her brow, signaling me to bow down to the 'current Alpha' of the pack. I bowed my head, still clenching my fist. I swiftly turned to glare at Blaez, knowing he was the one to link through my mum and asked for her to come. Blaez connected to me through our link:
"Sorry.....I didn't know what to do...you were about to sh-" I shut him before he could finish his sentence.
"You're dead meat…" I told him.
"........" No comment. I only saw his eyes getting wider with fear.
"Look at me" My father demanded. But, I didn't want to face him like this, looking weak. "I said look at me" He continued again. I raised my head slowly and our eyes met.
"This is what happens when I trusted you with this duty? You disappointed me!" He growled. "The party is over! Everyone go home!" He commanded.
Everyone made their way out from the house quickly. Their whispers surrounded the area, where my sensitive ears could clearly hear them like, 'I don't think his fit to be the next Alpha.' , ' He can't be our leader.' , ' Geez, his an embarrassment to the pack.'
I was embarrassed at myself when I heard their thoughts. I kept staring down the floor, thinking, what have I done? I felt my nerves calmed but still, I was ashamed of my behavior. But it felt like I was dying from the inside out, craving to search for my mate. Then, I felt my mother's soft touch, rubbing my back. She held my face with both her hands, lifting it up, but my eyes refused to look at her.
