The boy wished his new mother died in a fire because she lied to him constantly. He ran away to find a better home and not a worthless home where he did not desire.
He ran off to find his missing parents. He left a note saying that he ran off to find his real parents and return to where he really belongs in his heart. He traveled from Rome to Greece to find them and he eventually found a Greek building that worships the Greek gods.
One statue came to life and spoke to him. This kind of approach led him to think that he was Hades and didn't even know it when he was born. He had very little memory of what happened years ago. Hades had set off on his never ending quest to find his parents.
Once he made it to a hill, Hades met a young pubescent faun. Like him, he was raised by strict parents.
