"You were right, the view is great from up here." Scott said panting slightly from the exercise of climbing the mountain. "We're not even to the top yet, come on i'll race you." Vetra said with a hint a playfulness in her voice.
"And no jump-jets, we're doing this the old fashioned way." "What do I get if I win?" He said with smirk. "I don't know, what would you like?"
"The bad guy defeated, a magic sword, and the girl." He said with a flirty tone.
Scott liked Vetra, more than he should, he had never been in love before and it was confusing, he has been with more than his fair shair of women in his life, but only ever one night stands, girls could easily fall for him, mostly because he was charming and sexy as fuck but he had never felt the same. He had tried to have a serious relationship before but that ended when she dumped him and fucked some other guy. "Good thing you're going to lose then, I don't have a magic sword." She said smirking. She continued to climb while he was trying to find a good grip.
"Shit" He said in his head when he grabbed a rock and it fell. He looked at his jump-jet. "I don't see another option except falling and my breaking my neck." he thought to himself. He used his jump-jet to jump to the top. "Whooohooo." He yelled as jumped up.
"Hey!" Vetra said as he saw him cheat.
He landed with a loud thud. "Are you having fun? you look you're having fun." Vetra said as she made her to the top. She laid next to him. "Scott, is this real?" She asked after a long pause. "Yeah I think the sky is real." he said looking at her. "No, I mean this, how you are towards me, like you care, more than a friend." "I don't mind if it's no, I just wanna be sure, it get's messy otherwise." she said looking at the sky, there hands were pretty close together. He knew what she meant by that, he knew it all too well. As much as he was scared to admit it, he did care about her more than a friend, he felt things toward her that he didn't want to feel, that he was scared to feel. So, he decided to be honest with her, and himself. He entwined his hand in hers. "I do care about you, more than a friend." He said mustering up all the courage he could. "Really? I didn't want to assume, it seemed so unlikely,
Me, you." she said nervously. Scott decided to take a chance, he sat up putting a hand on her armour he kissed her passionately. "And how that for proving it?" He said a little bit smugly. "I'm convinced." She said before putting her taloned hand on his head pulling him in for another kiss.
