I wake with a smile, rolling toward Dakota's soft body. I am disappointed to find her side of the bed empty, the sheets already cold from her absence. I open my heavy eyes to adjust to the light. The sun is out, but is shaded by the many trees that surround her property. I love staying the night at Dakota's as much as I love her staying the night with me.

Her home is beautiful—everything I adore about her is reflected throughout the space. I only wish I could've pushed legal matters along quicker, and maybe she wouldn't have needed to buy this house. She could've split her time between Mel's and mine. Alas, I am thankful it at least keeps her in LA.

I roll out of her comfy bed and slide on my boxers that ended up on the floor by my side. We'd spent most of the night in each other's arms, making love slowly. I was still shaken by the emotions that continued to grow inside of me for her. It scared me, because I'd never felt something this strong, but I knew it was right. We were exactly where we were meant to be. The rest of the early morning hours were spent laughing and discussing every topic we could think of. I would've stayed awake talking to her longer, but her eyes eventually shut and she smiled as I sang her into oblivion.

I walk into her kitchen and chuckle when I see her dancing around to Bowie's "Fame," wearing my shirt from the night before with her black lace panties peeking from beneath. I cross my arms, watching from the entryway. She sings into her spatula before she stirs the egg mixture in the frying pan.

"Having fun?" I can't help myself from interrupting.

She jumps with a gasp. "Jesus, you scared me."

"Sorry." I grin, walking up behind her and clasping my arms around her narrow waist. I kiss the soft spot behind her ear.

"Good morning, handsome," she says, her megawatt-smile on display.

"Morning, baby. Sleep well?" I rub my beard back and forth across her shoulder.

"Very well. Satisfied." She nestles into me further and I willingly pull her tighter.

"Ditto." I press quick pecks down the side of her neck. I can't resist her. She tilts her head to the side, proving she can't resist me either.

"Our breakfast will burn if you keep it up."

I hum against her ear and she shivers. "You smell more appetizing."

She huffs. "I made you breakfast and you're going to toss it away for sex?"

I laugh. "I'm a hungry man, what can I say?"

"You always cook for me," she argues, moving my arms briefly so she can turn around in them. I trail my hands down to cup her firm behind. "I want to return the favor."

I kiss her nose. "You don't owe me anything, baby."

She smirks, scratching the side of my unshaven face. "Food first then me for dessert."

I slap her ass. "Fine, only because you've deprived my body of its nutrients."

She laughs and shoves at my chest to break us apart. "Then guess I better fill you up so I can suck you dry again later."

I can't stop the groan that spills from my throat. She is lethal, and I can't get enough. I want to ravish her right this second, but I know she's gone out of her way to make us breakfast, and I like seeing domesticated Dakota. So I concede for now.
