#4: Shack
"F-f-f-face it, Observer, we're l-l-lost," Toby said, leaning against a stone wall.
The Observer glared over the map he was holding at the other proxy. "We're not lost, Toby, we're exploring."
"The f-f-fuck is th-there to e-e-expl-explore? Th-there's nothing out here but this goddamn w-wall" Toby turned around and kicked the wall.
Observer pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. Right now, they were standing next to a tunnel that went underneath a bridge. The tunnel looked like it may have been used for sewage at one point, but it was empty and the road above the tunnel looked equally abandoned.
"How does a guy called the Observer fuck up with a map, anyway?" Chaser growled.
"Who's the one that got me caught by the Operator's last victim?"
Chaser adjusted her sunglasses and mumbled something about idiots.
Observer ignored both of them and looked back to his map. "Where are the others?" he asked.
"H-how the hell sh-sh-should I know?"
"Well, guess!"
Hoody leaned against the wall again. "I-if I had to...to guess, J-Jeff is p-probably with both Jack's and S-Sally, Stitches and Sew are p-p-probably fucking in a tree, s-s-same for Miko and RED, and G-G-Grim and M-Mindy are probably d-d-demolishing the forest k-k-k-kicking the shhhhhit out of each other."
"Sounds about right."
"What do you think is down that tunnel," Chaser asked in her scraping voice. "The other side," Observer sneered.
"Don't gotta be snarky about it."
Now she was bending over, hands on her knees, to look down the tunnel. Toby joined her.
It's p-pretty dark d-d-down there," Toby said. "S-sh-shouldn't w-w-w-we be able to see the light on the other side?"
"Yeah," Chaser agreed, "weird."
"Wanna g-g-g-go down there?"
"Hells yeah."
Toby turned back to get his axe which leaned against the stone wall.
"No," Observer said, "you two are not going down there." Toby turned to Observer, an eyebrow cocked. "Since when do we listen to you?"
"Good point. Whatever, just don't get yourselves killed. If you do, I'll catch the flak for it."
Toby blew a raspberry.
"What do you t-thinks down h-h-here?" Toby asked as he stepped in behind Chaser. "Probably nothing. Doesn't hurt to check." Chaser put her sunglasses in the pocket of her hoody.
As they traveled down the tunnel, the a familiar smell assaulted their noses.
"S-s-smells like d-death," Toby said. He tightened his grip on his axe. "I don't like this," Chaser growled, "give me your axe."
"N-n-no fuckin' way, b-b-b-bitch!"
Toby walked ahead of his fellow proxy. Soon, they noticed a drawing on the wall. In big, angular letters, the words 'Slutty Sally's Shack' stared them in the face.
"What the hell is that," Chaser said. If her mouth was anything more than a whole in her face, it'd be frowning.
"D-d-dunno," Toby admitted.
They continued.
And then they found the body.
Or what was left of it, anyway.
