Brad followed his three best friends into the hectic cafeteria to their spot. His lunch was thrown onto the table as his friends started to discuss god knows what. Occasionally he would add in on the conversation. A few laughs were given. As much as he tried to participate, Bradley felt that he was not truly apart of the conversation.

The boy's eyes traveled along the huge cafeteria. Like every single day, the same people sat in the same places. Nothing had ever changed, except the lost of the seniors and gain of the freshman. But as his eyes examined the familiar lunch room, something stood out. It was not common and it was a first. In the empty table that normally sat in the back corner diagonal of his table, a girl sat with a tray of food and a book in her hands. It was the same girl from his creative writing class.

Today she wore a tie dyed shirt. The colors were bright and eye catching, but no one seemed to notice her. The back corner table was some type of invisible curtain that kept her from the eyes of others. From where he sat, Brad could not see the book in her hands, but he had a feeling that it was very intellectual. Bradley took in her features from afar just as her seemingly dark eyes locked with his. As cliche as it sounds, Brad's breathing hitched slightly. His lips tugged to a smile. Just the eye contact made him happy.

In a matter of seconds, he felt himself stand up and start to walk to the mystery girl in the back corner. It was like she was afraid of him because as he gained in closeness, she started to disappear. Even though he had never talked to her before, Brad could feel his heart break a little.

Instead of returning to his friends, he left to go to his fourth block. And then it was his fifth block. A lime green sticky note replaced the once pink sticky note.

Where is my hello? I'm the one that says hi Bradley _____________ Simpson. What is your middle name? Mine is Michelle. Anyways, my weekend was lovely. I went shopping and my aunt and I had a girl's day. What about yours? Let me guess you had band practice with your mates. By the way tell Connor I say hi and we need to hang out soon. I don't know why, but I really want to meet him. And you of course. Maybe we could hang out this weekend?

~ September Michelle Adams

Brad couldn't help but laugh at Sept's teasing. His smile didn't leave his face as he continued to write his own note.

Hello September Michelle Adams. I am sorry I said "Hi" instead of hello. I just thought that I could start my note a little more casual than formal. But anyways, my weekend was pretty normal. Slept in till noon and you guessed it... Band Practice. Am I that predictable? I will tell Connor hi and of course we can hang out. Should we see a movie, I could also bring Tris and James. They are pretty cool too, but I am the best. I could give you are numbers if you like? Ok question of the day, what are your favorite lyrics?

~ Bradley Will Simpson

The note was stuck in its original spot and continued with his fifth block.

And then it was sixth. His favorite class and the one with mystery girl. She sat in the same spot, but was unable to approach her due to his friends pushing him to his seat. As the teacher let them work independently, Bradley turned to Connor.

"Hey Con, I have been talking to this girl via notes from my History class. I found one under my desk last week and we have been talking. I mentioned how you two would get along well since you have similar music tastes. She says hi."

"Wait what? Have you ever met her in person?"

"No, but I know that she is in the class before me and her name is September. I guess she is new to the school, so none of us have ever met her. We are supposed to go to a movie possibly this weekend and you and the boys are invited."

"Well then, I guess tell her I said hi."
